Ladies, What is your weekly workout routine?

    This is my routine - sometimes I change the days because of conflicting schedules etc. but, always allow for a rest between heavy lifting.

    Week 1:

    Monday - Stronglifts Workout A, plus 3 sets of 90second planks (I increase this time once I'm successful at all 3 sets)
    Tuesday - 3m run
    Wednesday - Stronglifts Workout B, plus 3 sets of 15 prone jackknife moves on the swiss ball
    Thursday - 3-5m run
    Saturday - Stronglifts Workout A, plus 3 sets of 2 minute planks (again, increase is based on the success of my sets)
    Sunday - Long run 8+miles at a slow pace.

    Week 2:
    Monday - Stronglifts, Workout B, plus 3 sets of prone jackknifes
    Tuesday - 3m run
    Wednesday - Stronglifts, Workout A, plus 3 sets of timed planks
    Thursday - 3-5m run
    Saturday - Stronglifts, Workout B, plus 3 sets of prone jackknifes
    Sunday - Long run 8+miles
  • Pilates 5x a week for 30 minutes before I go to uni and 30 minutes to 1 hour on my stationary bike 2x a week, whenever my favourite shows are on because I put it in front of the TV.

    I'm actually taking a bit of a break from "lifting". Not on purpose, just a bit bored after 20+ years of lifting weights. I'm getting my strength workouts via pilates for the time being.

    The past few months have looked like this (keep in mind, I'm 48, perimenopausal, ymmv):

    Monday: run 5k, walk dogs, bike commute
    Tuesday, 1hr walk, bike commute, 1hr intermediate mat pilates class
    Wednesday run 5k, walk dogs, bike commute
    Thursday 1hr walk, bike commute, 1hr intermediate mat pilates
    Friday run 5k, bike commute, sometimes 1hr mat pilates
    Saturday rest
    Sunday 1.5 hr mat pilates
