Ladies, my husband is having an end of year work party and invited me, got a babysitter lined up and everything! I'm hoping we will go out after the work party.

Ladies can you please!! help me with some work party, date night dress ideas or outfits in general that would be appropriate and budget friendly. It's not really my area of expertise so any help would be appreciated!! :flowerforyou: I wanna look great cause its not often I get to go out!

*ETA: not a fan of super short dresses or super low cut (I'm pretty busty) Pictures are a plus :)

You can never go wrong with the little black dress. I keep three different ones in my closet for just such outings.

    Thats really cute too! ^

What you can do is look on ebay for clothes that look similar but are better prices. Then you can have a very similar look without spending a fortune! haha

Check them out! See if they have any dresses or what not in your size. This site is a serious money saver if you continue to lose weight, but don't have a crap ton of money to spend on new clothes every few months. :drinker:

The little black dress idea is a great go to outfit. You can dress it up or down; using different shoes; jewelry, scarves etc. You can never go wrong with that. Also, you can find a great looking LBD at most shops, so the price range is your choice. Good luck, hope you have a great time.:flowerforyou:

I love wearing black dress pants, a cute blouse and a black dress jacket. You can take the jacket off if you get too warm, and still look really cute. It works well for busty women (I'm right there with you!), and it is also really simple to put together. Classy, but cute as well.

I don't know how fancy you're thinking, but a basic shift dress or the "fit and flare" that's trendy right now would be very appropriate (higher necklines and just above the knee) I buy a lot of my dresses at Target. They're like $29.99 full price.
I usually wear something like that to work dinners/parties and feel more dressed up than half the people there.
You can always dress it up with accessories you already have!

I'd make this an everyday dress! I'd look so pretty raking the leaves and washing dishes.

You can never go wrong with the LBD, and they're available in SO many cuts and styles you're sure to find something you like. May I suggest though if you want to turn up the sexy, a lace or sheer back? Something like this:

I won one very similar and get a lot of compliments on it on the rare occasions I have to wear it

I just read this story in the newspaper yesterday. In larger cities there are boutiques that rent dresses for special occasions. So very budget-minded. The store employees can help you choose one that's appropriate for your party.
