I guess I'm the dissenting opinion. But I do not understand why you need to parade around without a towel on. No matter how free and open you are with your body, not everyone feels that way. I was raised fairly conservatively and was taught that you don't parade around in the nude. I always at least keep a towel on because of that. And there's a lady who does put on her makeup/dries her hair/etc. completely naked. Sorry, it's weird. Put a towel on.

    :)

It's not weird. It's not parading. It's just a naked body. This idea that you're immodest or weird for being naked is ridiculous. I realize everyone has different personal standards of comfort and such, and that's great, for YOU. It's a locker room, not the public library or your work place, so your standards don't get to influence mine. I will be naked in the shower. Walking to and from the shower. While getting a drink after the shower. While getting ready so I don't get my work clothes all sweaty. I'm not parading, I'm not flaunting, I'm not weird -- I am naked and getting ready in a locker room that is designed for naked people getting ready.

Pretty ladies should strut around naked in the women's locker room though. It is my understanding that it usually doesn't play out like this
the only women who really saunter about nude and casually are all older and over weight- I've never seen a fit head turning woman doing this. and most of the time one of these sauntering types sits down.
The young, attractive ladies should be the ones showing it off. Not the older, overweight ones.

Here's hoping you're just being a jerk to get a rise out of people and don't really think that way. Lots of people do though, so let me just say that this is part of the attitude that rises to 'zomg naked people in locker room = awful.' For the most part, people aren't showing it off. They're showering, getting ready, walking around doing normal stuff, and they happen to be in various states of dishabille because they're in a locker room.

Old, young, thin, fat, missing a limb, wild bush, no bush, manscaped, au naturel, covered in scars, covered in stretch marks, bat wings from rapid weight loss, perfectly toned bod, whatever...a body is a body and bodies are beautiful and also no big deal. They're naked. Big woop.

Some people are actually creepy. Drying off for 15 minutes in the shower room guy. Standing naked and alone in narrow passageway guy.

And the people who sit naked on benches. Wtf.

I don't use my gym's locker room but I'd think it would have changing cubicles as my gym is more a 'health club' with kids, even in the gym! ok only a few.

Will need to start using it soon as I usually walk to the gym (20mins) in my workout clothes and only have a hoody/sweatshirt on top. It's getting too cold so will need to bring a coat soon.

I remember using a dance studio's locker room and girls would just walk out the shower & stand in front of the mirrors. Now I never had to take showers at school so I'm so not used to this sort of thing and at swimming I'd use a cubical rather than the group changing areas.
