    I'm in! Starting a little late and have a goal of 20 mi per week, so I'm aiming for 60 miles in December.

    First time posting anything. Broke my back in October 2012, spinal instability now with recumbent bike or swimming the only workouts allowed (and I can't swim...yet :) But I bike almost every day, so I'd like to join. So far this month:

    12/01 14.1 miles
    12/02 8.3 miles
    12/03 14.6 miles
    12/04 8.7 miles
    12/05 7.5 miles
    12/06 12.0 miles
    12/07 none

    You're doing GREAT so dont beat yourself up...... I would add my Bike rides but somehow (for me) I just cant. I guess it is because in January I joined a walking challenge...Every month since I joined just the walking. Then a few people started adding their bike miles and that is OK. I just dont choose too do that....SOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD YOU JOINED OUR GROUP!!!!:flowerforyou:

    Thank you! Great challenge, and I am loving the bike until I'm able to do more.

    Somewhat disappointed that I didn't do any exercise over the weekend.....but I did Friday and today so this is where I'm at. I need to dedicate time to over the weekend! My elliptical trainer at home doesn't go by miles so it frustrates me and I don't want to do it for that reason......I just need to get on it anyways.

    I am wondering though is there a way to have it written in MFP. or does everyone here just write it down somewhere else.?


    SOME OF US use the 'ticker' system. It automatically updates IF you use a different ticker every time. Does that help?

    ty. it helps but I am not sure how to find it or use it. is there one that I can use like the MFP one, where I just can keep adding how many miles I went each day and it automatically update for me? even if I cant post it on here that way I can keep track easier.

    UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM SORRY...I dont have THAT answer....Most of us just go too 'tickerfactory.come' and use that...

    YESTERDAY I GOT IN 4 MILES.....It was not a cardiac work out...Still back problem. However I was able too walk a lot in the Hospital Parking area and too offices etc and in some of the Malls/stores......ANY WALKING MILES IS MOVING for me so I am HAPPY too have been able too do that.....


    TOTAL THIS FAR...................26 MILES WOOOOOOOOOO WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....Yea I know I'm behind...lol

    EVERYTHING I've been TOLD and things I've found online tell me that Treadmills, Exercise Bikes, etc do NOT give us the exact miles....It really goes by your weight etc...I have checked this against my TREADMIL too my outside walking and there is a farily big difference.....I HAVE A PEDOMETER so I wear that while walking outside, using the Treadmil or any machine. So FOR ME I just use my PEDOMETER....A friend had first told me the machines were not accurate and was WHY I purchased a good pedometer from Academy. Cost me almost $70.00 but it was WELL WORTH IT for I really THOUGHT I was doing more than I found out I was....On the Pedometer you key in your age, your weight, your lenght of steps and THAT gives you miles and Calories burned...Dont know IF this will help you or not but I am happy I feel I'm doing what is right FOR ME.....

    Dec 10th = 5 mile run & 3 mile walk = 8 miles

    Dec 11th = 17 mile bike ride & 3 mile walk = 20 miles

    total last two days = 28 miles

    194 miles - 28 miles = 166 miles left to go. :happy:
