great job. can you start lifting without a gym membership?0

I've been lifting heavy for a year and for me it accomplishes the very basic task of making me easier to move me. I'm constantly stunned and satisfied by my ability to just move. Get up, bend down, go from sitting to crouching to standing to whatever. My BF% is moving in the right direction and I can feel the difference. I might want to compete at something in a year or so, but for now I just enjoy doing the lifts and improving myself.0

You can, but it will mostly be body weight stuff unless you have the $$$ to buy a squat rack and weights! (I can't afford that unfortunately.) just google some home strength training plans, I'm sure you will find something.0 -
Awesome. I have the same love for lifting and only started a year ago, too.0

lol! I get many comments like this... But I always say the strength stays at the barbell :drinker: Of course unless I need to use it, like moving my behemoth dresser or packing two toddlers because they're whiny and tired.0 -
Wow! Well done!0

You are a lifting goddess. That's an awesome outcome for your first meet, too! I couldn't help but laugh when reading, "Swole for life!"
But lifting has empowered me as well. I used to be underweight as a kid and was unable to play football and other sports. Because of the increased lean mass from lifting and eating properly, I'm now capable of doing amazing feats that I wouldn't have thought were possible back then.
Ah shucks, thanks! :blushing: And I occasionally have to get in touch with my bro side, maybe I just like watching Dom Mozetti at brosciencelife on youtube a little too much. hmm...
And freakin awesome work yourself! I actually intend on gaining about 15 pounds of lean mass in the next few years. take that stereo types!0 -
hi old friend! i remember when we were buds...and i just want to say: YOU INSPIRE ME!!!!!!!!0

Ha!! THIS is how I first realized how much stronger I am getting due to lifting, being able to carry my two boys without the same struggle as before!! I love lifting for the way it makes me feel, and being able to use it in "real life" is just the sprinkles on top!0
