I've been lifting heavy for a year and for me it accomplishes the very basic task of making me easier to move me. I'm constantly stunned and satisfied by my ability to just move. Get up, bend down, go from sitting to crouching to standing to whatever. My BF% is moving in the right direction and I can feel the difference. I might want to compete at something in a year or so, but for now I just enjoy doing the lifts and improving myself.
