My NSV's have been modest. Let's see..
-I pulled out a coat from last winter and put it on - it was roomy before but now it's WAY too big (sort of a bummer, I like that coat).
-I don't have to hold my breath or grunt and groan when I pick something up off the floor.
-I don't enter a room stomach-first anymore.
But my biggest victory of the year is definitely scale-related - for the first time in years there's not a "2" at the beginning of my weight. Sure I wish I had more to show for 2013, but I lost 20-odd lbs and also didn't gain the 5 or 10 lbs that I had been putting on every year.0 -
Got a job. Got laid off, again. Got a better job. Ha!0
-
1. Unloaded a ton of old clothes because they're too big.
2. Bought new clothes mid-year, and now THEY'RE too big.
3. Shaved off the goatee. The double chin went with it.
4. High blood pressure? Wait, I used to have it, but no more?
5. Hello lower abs! Join your brothers upstairs!
6. I'm an actor. I did a shirtless scene in front of hundreds of people and got cat-called by the ladies for the first time.
Mark0 -
1. My friends telling me I looked "fantastic!" when I came home for Thanksgiving.
2. Running a 27-minute 5k (never going to break any land speed records over here)
3. Someone telling me I have "guns" in a facebook photo! Haha!
4. Becoming a better cook, so I can now more easily make delicious, healthy foods (and can save monies)
5. Becoming really good at balance poses in yoga.
6. The consistent compliments from my husband are always wonderful. :-)
7. Being able to rock the clothes I love and feeling comfortable getting more daring with my fashion choices.
I'm looking forward to working towards some strength-related NSVs in 2014!
Congrats to everyone! Reading all these NSVs made me smile. You're all awesome.
ETA: Somehow #2 got cut off0 -
I bought a Speedo and I actually look good in it.0
