    My Pittie/Rottie would lick anyone and everyone into submission and crawl into their lap for more forced affection. Yup, deadly dog. I adopted her from the SPCA in the one province in Canada where "pitbull type" dogs are allowed for adoption. Best dog I have EVER owned. Seriously. Better than even the two Labrador retrievers that I owned. She knows when to be protective and the rest of the time she is the mellowest, loving dog I have ever known. In fact, she is too tolerant of my child and husky pup, she won't even protect herself from them. She is even good with small animals as long as she knows they are "off limits", but admittedly she does have the instict to hunt.

    I seriously hate breed specific legislation. I hate ASSumptions and stereotypes. And I hate people that abuse their dogs. Staffies and Pits etc have the nicest personalities and the people that hurt them should be the ones outlawed.

    Factoid: Canada has many jurisdictions that have outlawed or controlled "pitbull type" dogs; however, in Canada, Huskies kill and injure more people than any other breed.... and you don't hear any talk of outlawing them, ever, anywhere!
