I like the 'like', I don't always want to say something, but I want to let my 'friends' know that I've read their diaries and 'like' what they did that day.0

I hate people0

I hate people
And I don't think they like you. They always make me far too unhappy. We do our best to coexist by staying far apart.

Darn Tomato song stuck in my head. Thanks, Bryant Oden.

I would have liked WTG button, personally.
Same. Get this all the time a wtg button would make it easier.0 -
if anything, people say 'Nice!' all the time, so what we needed was a 'Nice!' button!
Hey!! I resemble that remark Ya'll Norm!!!!0 -
i didn't notice it until i saw this thread. but i don't see what the big deal is, i don't have anything against facebook, i use it daily, just like this site, but for different reasons. i think it would have been better to have a button that said something more about weight loss, like a "good job" button. but really, i don't see why everyone is freaking out about it.0

Nearly all forms of social media use it in some shape or form. It's part of the internet now as much as cat gifs.
YES!! That looks just like my cat!! The internet gets better every day :P0 -
Where is this like button? Not a huge fan of the concept, definitely not a fan of FB, but wondering why I don't see one... and, actually, impressed that mfp took requests for it seriously enough to add the feature. But where is it??
In your news feed.
Oh... thx!

I like it.....and like having options.0

I think its okay.
I want my friends to know I've noticed them but sometimes struggle to have a lot to say.
It works in that way.0 -
I don't think so, I didn't lose 36 almost 37 pounds on FB! LOL. Sometimes 'like' is sufficient. "Drank 8 glasses of water" click like. Walked 5 miles WOOOOOT!!!
I see you are a Mod. Fact is that the more you make MFP similar to FB, the less desirable it gets. You guys have to understand that many of us on MFP think very lowly of FB, and if you;re gonna go down the road of making MFP look like FB, its a tragedy of massive proportions.
A touch of an exaggeration there, don't you think? You don't like the like button, don't click it. Problem solved.
Reality is that it will be just like all the changes Facebook makes. People will scream and moan about them for a few days or weeks, then just get right back to using the service, and slowly adopt the thing they were complaining about in the first.

The like button is making everyone lazy. I understand that people are busy but it doesn't take long to comment if you don't have time to show support to your friends, maybe you have too many to begin with.0

If your friends aren't performing to your expectations, perhaps you have the wrong friends. Or the wrong expectations.0
