    Blade 2 was better than the original, Blade Trinity was most definitely not.

    X2. The X-Men movies went downhill from there though.
    T2 of course. Further sequels weren't near as good as T2.

    "Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan" is infinitely better than "Star Trek: The Motion Picture". In general you can follow the rule: Star Trek(even number) > Star Trek(even number - 1)

    Superman II

    I think "Star Trek: Into the Darkness" is the best one yet.

    SO disagree! My favorite original cast ST is The Voyage Home (the one with the whales) and I think the first reboot was far better than Into Darkness. Both of my mentioned favorites have humor and fun to them. Along those lines - I also love Galaxy Quest.

    X-Men 3 (the Last Stand) was the best of the series for me.

    Have to disagree with the suggestion that the Rocky Movies get better and better.
    I think in the midst of the subsequent hurricane of oiled up sweaty training montages, people have forgotten just how good a film Rocky was.
    Brilliantly written and acted.Funny, poignant and sweet.

    As for superior sequels - Dawn of the Dead anyone?
