Your oddest gift this year?

Crazy Aunt got me lock and lock storage containers. Weird. Not like small ones I can use in the kitchen and fridge...odd larger size ones.0

A handmade purse with a very large picture of my children on the front. My MIL is very into tacky crafts.
LOL that's awful! And now you have to carry it around or risk offending her!
Yep, when we go to her place probably. And it's even more weird because I never carry a purse. I just put my license and debit card in my pocket. Now I'll need to find a bunch of stuff to put in it and carry it around.0 -
Last year my dad and his current wife (#6) gave hubby and I all gifts they had "won" at the casino :grumble: and we promptly sold it all on craigslist. He DID give us gift cards to Menards and kohls last year, so it wasn't too bad. this year, well, they did it AGAIN!!!! Got a cheap hose reel, a chip and dip serving thing, rice cooker, 3 slot lasagna pan ( that fits the noodles perfectly according to the box) plus much more.......... It's almost comical this year, as soon as we got in the car we discussed what needs to go on Craigslist. But the icing on the cake this year was this: he text us a pic of a nice 17 cubic ft upright deep freeze from Lowes. It's nice!!! Or so we thought. THEN he informs us that he went to take a picture because the one he BOUGHT us was at his rental an hour away. And what he got us was GENTLY used from the Habitat for Humanity resale shop! He had to PAINT IT and put on a new handle :noway: :huh:0

Well...my absolutely adorable 7 year old son (who actually usually picks out decent jewelry) got me a necklace and earring set. Rather large hearts that are leopard print. I am going to have to be very strong to push myself to wear them to make him happy. Very strong.
hmmmmm....was it 3 hearts strung together?...Betsey Johnson?!!!!
I bought it for my SIL
Soooo random, I know
On topic...fish shaped house slippers
I love 'em!0 -

Not this year - but last year...
My aunt (who has given me an ornament every year since I was born) began giving my son an ornament every year. I was thrilled that she would transfer this tradition.... Except, when we opened it there was a little african american baby riding on a swan that said "Baby's First Christmas". Um, well, ok. LOL My son is definitely caucasian, but we don't hate! She said she loved the ornament so much, but "all the little white babies were gone!"
Seriously, I love it. It was just super strange :ohwell:
Hahaha! I literally just laughed out loud.
We have this tradition...and I've never thought of it, but now, I'm pretty sure next year I'm going to get a whacky ornament and just go on about how much I love it.0 -

Oh wow...that sounds so much like my former in-laws! They always bought my ex and I very random gifts, either from HSN, Cracker Barrel, or Walmart. It was a tradition on Dec. 26 to go and return whatever wasn't purchased from TV to get decent stuff.0 -
Magic wand, still not sure what to do with it.
slap me with it?0 -
Ground beef.0

some sort of microwave potato baking bag.....as seen on TV!0

I got a full size cardboard cutout of **** Yuengling, owner of Yuengling brewery. I don't drink Yuengling. I don't even drink beer.
Whoever got you that must have stolen it from a bar. I mean, you can't buy that stuff, can you?
Mmm, Yuengling (I only get that beer when I visit the East coast).
My odd gift: A book of postcards (think someEcards) that you can send to people? Most are pretty nasty so I suppose they are more to laugh at and then use to start your next campfire? LOL I appreciate the humor it just was an odd gift to me.0 -
My 17 year old bought me a jar of wrinkle cream....lol.0
-
Tire pressure gauge. But I'm actually pretty happy with it. So useful!0
-
My husband had the nerve to buy me an apron and my mother got me an Olay Body wash 3 pack from Costco! Granted she also got hubs a can of peanuts. All I can do is laugh! LOL:laugh:0

Well since I have been reading about bodybuilders using hemorrhoid cream and I am the kind of you-have-to-try-everything type, I got a tube  Didn't try it yet tho0

My mom. *sigh* God that woman takes last minute shopping to a whole new level. Clearly she attempted to buy us all gifts on Christmas Eve at 11:59 P.M. before realizing all the stores were closed. Then she must have headed over to either a grocery store or a liquor store, because my gift was a huge bottle of Velvet Cake Vodka and a gift card to some random restaurant I've never heard of 45 minutes away. It was depressing to witness her trying and act enthusiastic about giving it to us. And what the FCK is velvet cake Vodka?!0

I saw that the other day at the liquor store. Vodka comes in a whole bunch of flavors, apparently. I'm not a Vodka drinker, though.0 -
I would say this is it...

Last year my mom gave my daughter a laser measuring thingy-- you know the kind to measure a room with. My mom said that my daughter would need it for 7th grade?? We laughed about it several times; so far it is the worst. Don't tell my mom though.0
