What's wrong with circuit training?

The best exercise is the one you will enjoy doing and will do regularly.
Around here if you aren't "lifting heavy" and eating to meet your macros you're doing it wrong.
If you enjoy (or can bear) circuit training do that. You're doing your body good.0 -
Any exercise routine should be well thought but circuit training, which by definition is very fast, requires special attention in order to avoid injury.0

It's so your heart rate stays up and you get a good burn.0 -

I think its to do with the various types of circuit training there are - I've only done ones mostly based around calasthetics with limited dumbell components. There were always done in a class away from the gym and usually seemed to attract a lot of 'forces' types who were either retired or on leave, since it seemed to mirror the kind of cardio they were most used to. As far as I can see, there is no harm in trying to do as many pushups as you can in 40 secs, for example.
Crossfit, for example is also circuits and one I'm not entirely convinced by - purely because there seems to be a propensity for repping certain movements at speed that just seem to be asking for an injury.0
