    Jan 10th - 2 mile run (3.32km)
    Jan 14th - 2 mile and 2.5 mile (3.32km run and a 4km) run to add from last week.
    Jan 14th - 2.5 mile walk (4km)

    Total: 11 miles (17.96km)

    Another 2.5 miles on C25K - average speed has increased from 4.5 to 5.1 mph in a week - even in tonight's pouring rain. Happy, happy, happy.

    I love this!! I won't join in, as I am properly a runner now, but in Jan 2012 I went for my first 'new life' run and did 2.5 miles in 28 minutes (11m15s a mile) and thought I was going to die! I ran last night and did 10 miles in 1hr14m (7m25s a mile), and regularly run half marathon distance with a full marathon booked for May. Running really has changed my life, and i wouldn't be where I am now without. My advice to anyone on a weight loss trail is go buy some proper running shoes (not sports direct cheapies, proper Asics or Saucony) and get out there!! (And walk lots too! If you are going local, leave the car and walk!!)
