I am not new here, having spent the better part of the last two days navigating these waters. So I'd say I have a pretty good lay of the land. These forums can be treacherous to the uninitiated and can make you feel like a fool in a hurry. There are a lot of "internet bullies" that will try to make you feel small for not buying into the latest health fad or diet craze. Pretty soon you'll feel you have to give up logic and reason just to fit in around here. It doesn't have to be like that. If you crave sanity in a sea of crazy, science in an ocean of charlatans, I am willing to help. I have absolutely no credentials whatsoever. But I do have common sense, a thick skin, and pretty good sense of humour. And I can help you steer clear of the pitfalls common to so many people starting out on here.
