Do you count "likes" as interactions with your friends?

I posed this question in a private group and have been largely ignored, but I was curious what you regular people feel about this. Do "likes" of stuff that pops up on your feed count towards interacting with your friends to you?

i hadn't thought about it because I don't really keep score like that.

i know "keep score" is not the right phrase, but it adequately conveys what i mean.

I count it as enough interaction on things like food diaries, workouts, days logged in...you know, the fitness stuff no one really cares about anyway.

On normal posts, though...no, I'm looking for more fun interaction than a "like".

I can't believe that so many people are being rude to you and not answering your question!

What was it again? I wasn't paying attention. :embarassed: :ohwell:

John, in my opinion, they do count but only with limits. It's a very lazy way to interact. It shows no real interest in what the person says or even the person saying it. It does show the person must have read your post and that person what to stop by and say hello. And that's ok. But if that's all they do, they're not interacting with you. I think the like button is ok but should be used sparingly. I like comments and I like to comment. Otherwise, I'll delete people.

    I liken a "like" as a "wham bham, thank you ma'am"...sometimes that's all I need...other times I need more...

Should only count as an interaction for recognizing a logging streak. If your monosyllabic *kitten* can't come up with something for my status updates or workouts, just shove that thumb up your *kitten* and move on.

    Quit the roids, man.

Your thumb or mine? I'm confused.

This mostly. I sometimes comment on completed diaries when something catches my eye, but a pretty mundane diary doesn't need a pat on the back every day. A like is just acknowledgement that I know you're awesome for logging your **** and I go on with my day. :)
