2200 calories a day

So I'm trying to hit 2200 calories a day. But I'm getting tired of eating so much, I would rather just quickly chug a meal. Can I just drink 16 protein shakes? According to my calculations that would be about 2200. It would be 16 fat/ 48 carbs/ 480 protein. Would all that protein get me super ripped. (Which is my goal) How healthy is this? Advice? Thx

Don't forget a multi and fish oil to round it off. Maybe run some spinach thru the juicer too.0

Eating is not only about the macros and the cals......
The different micronutrients in a varied diet are important. And 480g protein / day.... probably not healthy longterm. Your liver and kidneys would probably go into overdrive.
If you want more cals in less food, do some research on healthy fat sources....nuts, olive oil, seeds, avocado etc. A hand full of nuts has about 200cals, lots of micronutrients, healthy fats and protein. And certainly tastes better than a protein shake.0 -

Maybe first of all you should look up what protein poisoning is, I've heard of it a couple times, not exactly sure what the details of it are, but I'd assume that would be something associated with doing exactly what you are wanting to do
Secondly 2200 calories still 2200 calories, so whether you eat your food or get it from protein shakes (which you are missing all your vitamins, minerals and fibre) then not only will you suffer your body with deficiency and ability to function at full capacity but you are still going to get the results in terms of body composition because you are eating the same total net calories per week. Plus you'd probably somehow stall on fat loss with the lack of nutrients IMO

On a good day I'll fit in
Eggs, eggwhites, toast, oatmeal, big green smoothie, chicken parma dinner, it's much more tasty than a chicken / broccoli diet and not quite to the point where you need to cook like crazy as well, very manageable. Find your foods that you enjoy that are moderately capable to fit into your 2,200 calories instead of just restricting everything and going chicken and broccoli all day all night, you'll be much more thankful of your diet and enjoy it0 -

you're going to....metabolize almost all of that protein using some for cellular function and muscle repair, convert some to carbohydrates for use as energy and excrete the waste products and be (likely) adequately nourished...0 -
I sincerely hope this is a joke. I'm a 5'6" 125 lb female and having a hard time bulking on 2500 calories/day. For protein, 1-1.5x your body weight is more than enough. And when you fall short, ice cream and almond butter FTW.0

I hit about 170 g's of protein daily on a 2200 cal diet. I like it and have done this for a year and lost about 40 lbs and got into the best shape of my life. Good luck OP!0

I fill in the gaps with EAS whey protein shakes. 26 g's of protein each. Tastes good too.0

huh??? 2200 calories is very easy to hit.... i eat close to that everyday and im still hungry,why would you even want to drink all your meals?? breakfast ,lunch and dinner,then protein shakes in between, how is that hard.????0

You're just eating far too 'clean' and it makes you sick of you diet as you can see, It's dull boring and bland and you won't keep up with this if for a longer period if you feel this way
Much like you drinking protein shakes all day, you'll get sick of it extremely fast
Quick note: Multi-vitamins have almost been scientifically proven that you cannot absorb ALL the vitamins in pill form, notice i said ALL vitamins, you would absorb some only, but not a good balance
Also just use the IIFYM method and you'll be far better off and enjoying your meals
Plus don't forget that fats have to be a certain amount of your daily intake, possibly around 0.4g or higher per pound of lean body mass, if you keep fats too low it'll screw with your test / hormones0 -
I only eat healthy food and I have a really hard time eating 2200 calories. I have to drink protein shakes, pop, energy drinks, beer, and fast food to get my calories.0

You have leeway to chuck in random stuff, like sugary drinks and such to fill in your calories, you are still taking some supplements yes so that is good if you miss out on those vitamins and minerals in your diet, but if you have so much troubled meeting 2,200 total, just throw in some actual crap here and there, it won't hurt you much, better doing 80% clean / 20% dirty, than all protein shakes
You also hit your head on the nail with shakes. Why don't you make your own shakes with a couple scoops of protein powder, whole bunch of veggies and stuff, they are convenient and nutritious, also can be quite calorie dense0
