Fair question. 3000 per day actually. Nets me an average (over course of cut) of a pound a week.

    Cool - thanks!

Pretty sure as a pre-teen girl I coulda finished that off.

There was no end to my appetite when I was 11-12 years old. Of course, back then I was riding my bike 9 hours a day over the summer, playing softball, and had a paper route

Nowadays, I could probably pound that steak, but no way with all the other food on top of it. Maybe the garlic bread, but I'm a freak for garlic-flavored stuffs

400 cals for breakfast and lunch clears up a lot of cap room for a big guy :p

Wow.....just goes to show that everyone's caloric requirements are different. I work out every day either lifting and doing various cardio including running about 12 miles a week and if I was eating 3000 calories a day would gain weight so fast it would amaze people. Of course I am a fat guy trying to lose, and you have already lost an incredible amount of weight !!.

That's awesome that you can down an amazing meal like that and continue to lose a pound a week.

The moral of the story is, once again, you can eat whatever you want. You just need to fit the choices within your goals.
Shouldn't it be "The moral of the story is, once again, you can eat whatever you want. As long as the choices fit within your goals."?

Or perhaps "The moral of the story is you can eat whatever foods you want. You just may not be able eat the amounts you want."
I only stopped because I met my calorie goal, not because I was full.
This doesn't sound good to me. What if what I want to eat is food that will make me full?

The bolded bit. If I had to exercise like a fiend so I could eat 3,000 calories a day and still not be full? I'd be miserable. You're obviously happy with it though so good job. :drinker:

I approve this thread, as I have a tbone in my fridge aging right now. Another week and it should be ready. It's currently 1.25 pounds, should probably be 1 pound when it's time to eat it.

The OP told us the cut in the OP.

~30g protein, ~5g fat per 100g of meat.

Looks like you went over your cutting calories by 330. Is your deficit set at 500 (1lb/week)? otherwise it did not fit your cals.

I don't manually set my cals in MFP. I find it amusing how far off it is from real life results. In fact I have MFP set to maintenance. It perfectly fit my calories. 3000/day leads to ~1 lb per week loss. Maintenance is between 3500-3750+

Yeah, but I wonder if you're a weightlifting hamster some days...(he puts in a lot of work in other words).

Sometimes, but I really inly exercise an hour a day (plus about an hour of walks through out the work day)

Hopefully this is a onetime thing, just because it fits doesn’t mean it’s good for you to eat like that. Just ask that healthy 40yr getting a stent because of 99% blockage.

I believe this. Nothing that tastes as awful as bananas do can be anything but awful for your body.
