    FEEL good.

Continue on with what I've been doing for the past 15 years (and I don't have to use actual paper journals any more!).

Set a (hopefully) great example for my 2 daughters.

Be even stronger, physically and mentally (which seems to come with age, weirdly) than ever before.

....and, you know, to be a MILF. 'Cause that's pretty fun, too.

I do this stuff so I can:

Look better and be more confident in my skin for ME.
To get healthy for my kids and for my husband.
Be able to become a regular jogger/runner.
To avoid diabetes that runs in my family on both sides.

to prove that obesity is not a genetic thing.

to prove that my destiny was not to struggle with that extra 75 pounds that the women in my family struggle with.

to show my family and kids that I can enjoy life and food, and still be healthy

to make my dad proud of the fact that his daughter can bench press weights he cannot lift off the ground.

I want to be off of some medication. My blood work results came in. I am so darn close to *not* be considered diabetic! I'm close to my goal. I'm right on the borderline!

I also want to walk more. I am working on that goal. Last summer, I walked a few two mile hikes with my husband.

I'm learning to be flexible with my goals due to my health. I'm probably learning patience also.

    Thanks for posting this~
Grats! :) my gran was diagnosed with type2 diabetes.. and she said hell no. hit the gym changed her diet and was declared not diabetic shotly after! :) keep going :)

Thank you so much for your kind words!

I joined MFP as part of a workplace challenge. I stayed because of the results.

    I made great friends.

I lost those last ten pounds.

And found self confidence... Not because of the weight... But rather because I learned (and am still learning) how to love myself.

I exercise and eat better so I know that I will be here for my girls as a role model...not a "fat" mom.
