I'm a creature of habit. I eat oatmeal every morning during cold weather and smoothies during warm weather. I add dried cranberries, walnuts, flax seeds, cinnamon and almond milk.
One time I did try to switch it up a little by adding PB2 and chocolate chips.... didn't like it as well.0 -
Pure maple syrup! Perfect combo!0

I make one cup of Old Fashioned Quaker Oats in two cups of water. Then add 1 or 2 soft boiled eggs after it is cooked. And sometimes it is just plain old oatmeal with nothing else.0

One scoop of vanilla protein powder!0

A tad bit butter for taster and pecans0

Craisins or cut up apples, craisins and cinnemon. Sometimes a scoop of Vanilla Protien, sometimes peanut or almond butter.0

I use the steel cut oats, they take about 20 minutes to make but they are really satisfying. Today I had figs, strawberries, honey and bee pollen. Yum!0

I make overnight oats, where you put the oatmeal together the night before and let it sit in the fridge overnight to absorb the liquids instead of cooking it.
Some of my favorites are:
1/2 c oatmeal
1/2 c almond milk
1/2 c unsweetened applesauce
1 apple, chopped
1/2 tbs honey
cinnamon
and
1/2 c oatmeal
1/2 c almond milk
1/2 c yogurt (whatever flavor I happen to have on hand)
1/2 c frozen berries
They're both super delicious and really easy! Plus, I put them together in pint sized mason jars so they're portable and sometimes I take them to work with me when I'm in a rush.0 -
My protein powder and banana's... yummy0

My meal first thing in the morning (before hitting the gym) is to cook up about 2/3 cup of oatmeal. I mix together a protein shake (consist of half milk half water and some protein powder) pour part of it on the oatmeal and drink the rest, then also top the oatmeal with fresh berries and some flax seed.
If I can't get fresh berries, I'll add some frozen berries to the oatmeal when it is mostly cooked.
Think I might try some of the ideas here for a change of pace.0 -
I cook 1/2 cup oats in 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup water, then add 2 tsp brown sugar and a dash of cinnamon. If I have banana around, I slice that into it as well.0
