    Thanks, SS! :flowerforyou:

ETA I don't understand this statement. Moving less weight, or moving less as in less physically active?
    2. As people lose weight, they burn fewer calories because they move less, and for several other reasons.

That article is BS. I know for a fact that if I eat 4600 calories a day, as long as it's paleo, I'll lose weight.

    (The above sentence is sarcasm).

    Thanks as always SS :)

I agree. So much truth and so many lovely REFERENCES!

Posts like this have really brought MFP far. Two years ago here you could hardly tell anyone to 'eat less' without getting disputed with pseudo-science about your leptin and ghrelin at certain deficit levels requiring you to eat more to lose and how it's true because "I didn't lose until I increased my calories to over 1700...". :explode: Ok, that one might just be my pet peeve.

Click the link in that sentence in the article and then read #3 on the resulting page. Or in a nutshell, they subconsciously reduce their NEAT, or non-exercise activity. It's part of adaptive thermogenesis, I believe. The body recognizes it's at a prolonged calorie deficit and reduces unnecessary activity.

agreed that it should be a sticky.

Actually, this article should be the lyrics to the MFP "national anthem".
