I won't get one because I didn't give the government an interest free loan all year.
THANK YOU

My son is graduating this year, so some will go for that, his tattoo for his 18th birthday in April (I promised that a couple years ago), my wedding in October. I don't think I'll have any after that.0

I'm self employed with fluctuating income. Tax time is always a surprise.0
-
It will just go into savings to be available to piddle away as the year goes by.0

How's your cash reserve? Do you have 6mo living expenses socked away (outside of a retirement account)?0

If your getting that much back, you need to adjust your tax withholding cause your just giving the government a free loan of your money... Just a FYI0

Unless the OP is getting EITC or another refundable credit. Refunds are not always from withholding.0 -

I'd kill to have a super duke.
mine will go to a new costume and my CC bill. I never get back thousands- I try to break even- the last three years I have owe but I suspect I'll get back a little more than normal this year.0 -

We'll be making a contribution to our daughters 529 college plan. Maybe even opening an Roth IRA in her name too. She's 8 weeks old, never too soon to save for retirement!
The rest will be "fun money" for me, as I'm now a stay at home mom.0 -

I like getting back a sum of money every year, and not owing any Local taxes myself. Call me crazy?
I put all of my extra cash over $1000.00/week during the summer into Savings for emergency winter fund, and my 401K is automatically deducted from my Checks, so at tax season I like to get money back to splurge on whatever I want.0 -

Same here.
ETA, we'll get one b/c I'd rather give a small loan than owe, but it won't be much.0 -
