I started working out and changing my life July 1, 2013 at 370 lbs. I am now down to 265 lbs. It has been a huge life change. I went from a size 32 down to a now size 20. Not only am I happier but I feel like a new person. I have energy I never had. I find myself fast walking everywhere and I do not even realize that I am doing it.
Every post on here is another reminder to keep going!0 -
I was 306# at my heaviest in early 2013. Great going on you though!0

Started at almost 300 -- 5'1", 44, female, SW: 291, CW: 195. Started on 2/23/2013. First time under 200 in 18 years. Next big goal is in 5 pounds (100 gone), then mini-goals at 180 (not seen since 1994), 165 (not seen since 1993), and the next major goal - get under 150 (first time since 1992), followed closely by the next major goal of 144 (aka being half of my starting weight).
I'll re-evaluate end goals once I get around 144. For my height and build, I think between 120-130 is good, but for sure under 140, and then spot-check for body comp and see where I'm at and what I want.
Everyone else posting - you are all so inspirational. Thank you!!0 -
Started out 330, now 278 My -50lb face comparison is my profile pic.0

My highest weight was just north of 300. I was already down a bit when I started MFP; now I'm in the 140's. I still have more to go, but I'm at my lowest weight in 35 years and I feel great!
I have been focusing on healthy eating, really paying attention to getting good protein and fiber. I avoid processed foods and haven't hit a drive thru in a year and a half now. BTW, I am 56 and only 5'1", and lost all the weight on my ticker over the past year and a half.
Here is the story of my first year: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1075986-55-years-old-1-year-126-pounds-lost
It can be done! :flowerforyou:0 -
I started a year ago at 350. I'm down to 260. I still have a ways to go, but I see the incremental progress more easily now then 90 pounds ago so it helps.0

My highest weight was 319. However I started MFP at about 300 lbs. I weigh 209 now, and my goal weight is 150 atm, but I plan to change it to 135 sooner or later. Keep it up everyone! You all are doing amazing!0

I am 5'8". My highest weight was 337. I was 287 when I started at MFP. I am 202 right now. Despite years of struggle, and a severe back injury, I am getting there.0

I started 18 months ago at 320 lbs, and today weigh 185. My goal weight is 160 (I am 5'8"). 25 lbs to go!! Congrats to all the previous posters, keep up the great work!!0

I'd like to add, you people are amazing.
I've looked at my own weight loss needs and for years and just thought that I couldn't do it, that it was to much and I just wasn't strong enough, the truth is I have always been strong enough I just didn't know it.
After stumbling onto this site quite by accident I realized that yes I can do it, all of you have shown me that it's possible.
Thanks for the help.0 -
Everyone is amazing, thanks for the great inspiration today!0

Started at 320, currently 200lbs. My stomach is the last place weight is coming off. It's frustrating, but all I can do is keep on doing what I've been doing. It will go when it's ready to.0

I was around 300 at one point.....Don't know if I ever went over.0

I was super close 297. Down to about 239. I haven't weighed myself in about a week so it's around there. Very inspired by this post.0

At my highest weight, I was 364 lbs. I lost 160 lbs at my lowest weight and maintained that for about 5 years until I had a variety of issues including injuries and a death in the family. I regained some but I'm working my way back down.0
-
I started at 330. I've been stuck on a plateau at 215 since before Christmas (sigh), but, I know I'll push past it eventually. Current goal is around 180-185 and go from there.0
-
I started in September of 2012 at 343. Currently 235, hoping to get to 143. There's almost nothing left of my thighs (that was the first place the weight disappeared from) and my arms and face are slimming down fast. Like everyone else, it's the dreaded middle that won't go away, lol.
I'm patient, though. I've got the rest of my life to keep working at it.
Everyone on this thread is an inspiration to me.0 -
295, close enough. I am working on getting down to 125.0

I am so, so impressed with people that lose these large amounts of weight. It's hard enough to try to lose even 15 to 20 pounds, so you guys are really people I look up to! Well done!0

Started at 350 but didn't start logging again till around the 320. Now I'm down to 277 but a couple months ago was at 267. I'm going to run Savage Race April 19th and am pushing extremely hard to be around 220 then.0
