I use Amazing Grass Amazing Meal which has rice and hemp protein in it. I use the Pomegranate Mango one, but the Cafe Mocha is quite tasty as well.
  • I use Harmonized Vegan Protein Vanilla (from Progressive). The only I like the taste of and that doesn't clog me up.

Vanilla Vega is good. The chocolate kind is kinda nasty though.

Put meat in blender. Blend. Voila! Protein shake that's yummy, wheat, soy, and gluten free.

My point is that maybe you should look for added protein in natural sources instead of a shake. With the restrictions you have, it might be easier to do it that way.

I would normally agree with you, however I'm in a similar boat to the OP and I find that, even though vegan protein powder is crazy expensive, it's still more cheaper than eating a lot of meat every day. At least, it is for me. I've done the math.

I figured that's what you meant

I love meat and eat at least one serving a day so I would like to add to that. Also, it's an easy way for me to get my blueberries in. I don't care to eat them by themselves but love them in a vanilla shake.
  • * Sunwarrior (vegan, gluten-free, soy-free):
Vanilla Warrior Blend is 100 cal - 20g protein - 1g carbohydrates per serving
Chocolate Warrior Blend is 100 cal - 17g protein - 3g carbohydrates per serving
Classic Natural (unflavored) is 80 cal - 17g protein - 2g carbohydrates per serving

I use the Classic Natural (sometimes chalky if not blended well, so beware) or the Vanilla Warrior Blend. That's also why I know so much about it :)

    * Vega (vegan, gluten-free, soy-free):
    Vanilla Chai is 136 calories - 15g protein - 12g carbohydrates
    Vega Sport is 120 calories - 25g protein - 6g carbohydrates

Somewhat expensive, but the flavors are super-tasty.

    * Garden of Life RAW Protein (vegan, gluten-free, soy-free):
    Chocolate is 90 calories - 17g protein - 7g carbohydrates

Another good choice, pretty tasty but sometimes chalky if not blended well/with a "milk". Has vitamins added for extra nutrition.

    Hope this helps!

Second SunWarrior. I use the vanilla warrior blend and really like it. It is creamy and not too sweet.

Why are you avoiding all those things?

Soy, because of history of breast cancer (per my Dr). Whey because I had tests that came back stating I was intolerant to it and same with gluten. Sucks! :grumble: I don't avoid them completely but I try.

There is a test for gluten intolerance and whey? Are you sure? There isn't an allergy test for gluten.

Of course there is. If there are antibodies, there is a test. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-gliadin_antibodies
