I live in Kentucky and I do not want a cowboy at all.
I'd prefer a police officer.

Fireman! My hubby is a fireman:) BUT also, an army uniform. You know? The camos, hanging slightly off the hips with dog tags around the neck and combat boots and the hat slightly over the eyes? YUM!0

Well my husband is a Firefighter AND a Cowboy. A legitimate cowboy, not just a dude in a hat. We own a cattle farm.
FTR, cowboys don't actually wear those pretty cowboy boots. Those are too damn slippery for the real world. Tennis shoes and muck boots is the "uniform".
ETA: Most firefighters DO NOT look like that. Many are fat due to eating out all the time & not working out. Just saying. Reality.
I have always worn my cowboy boots, whether riding, roping, or just out working cattle through the chute. To each their own.0 -
How about a military guy from the south...he can sport the boots and hat and take me two-stepping but the camos...yes!

Definitely cowboy all the way. Not the fake ones though that just wear the hat and boots and think they are a cowboy. They have to be able to rope and ride or I won't look their way 0

Yeah my cowboy boots are standard especially when riding. Riding in muck boots or tennis shoes and you're liable to get a foot stuck in the stirrup if you happen to get thrown....there is a reason they make them slick...0 -
