    Well my husband is a Firefighter AND a Cowboy. A legitimate cowboy, not just a dude in a hat. We own a cattle farm.

    FTR, cowboys don't actually wear those pretty cowboy boots. Those are too damn slippery for the real world. Tennis shoes and muck boots is the "uniform".


    ETA: Most firefighters DO NOT look like that. Many are fat due to eating out all the time & not working out. Just saying. Reality.

    I have always worn my cowboy boots, whether riding, roping, or just out working cattle through the chute. To each their own.

    Ditto. I wear my "slippery" legit cowboy boots, no problem. Riding, working, and going out. Tennis shoes?? Never saw a REAL cowboy wear tennis shoes to work in.

    Going Roping is a Weekend Occurrence, and you could imagine how many cowboys you see there. :D
