Happy Friday:smile:

I have had the flu for a week and my appetite is FINALLY returning.

I am craving grilled cheese among a host of other delights.

I came across this article and wanted to know which ones YOU would try, or are you a strict bread cheese butter that IS IT person?

I think I could be convinced to try the jalapeno popper grilled cheese:bigsmile:

The only way that sandwich could be better is if you made two of them, and used them as the top and bottom of another one.

You gotta take the extra sharp cheddar and make it pop with some gruyere, (creamy!) and then a little bite with the gorgonzola.

Bynsky and skitty both ruined grilled cheese for me. Can't cut it in half or pull it apart and look at it without those two popping into my head...

In Atlanta is a Bar and Grill called the Vortex:

Here is one of their menu Items:
TRIPLE CORONARY BYPASStm (aka THE SUPER-STACK)
It becomes difficult to even describe this, the most preposterous of our Bypass Burgers. It’s sort of a Coronary
Bypass surrounded by a Double Coronary Bypass. Sort of. We guess all you really need to know is that we use
three burger patties, three fried eggs, fourteen slices of American cheese, and ten slices of bacon, all packed
between two grilled cheese sandwiches. Figuring out how to add condiments is completely up to you. It’s
served in a big bowl of french fries and tater tots covered, in lots of our Cheesy-Cheese Goo. Enjoy!

I am pretty boring when it comes to grilled cheese. I mostly have just cheese and the bread. Though ham and must or tomato is pretty yum. But the nicest grilled cheese sandwich of all is one someone else makes. For some reason they all was taste nicer

I would eat all of the ones without meat... except for the avocado/jalapeno one. I'm just too much of a slob and I would paint my face green with it.

This would be my top pick: Grilled Cheese with Spicy Havarti, Cilantro Pesto & Roasted Tomatoes

Some of the most delightful grilled cheese concoctions I've seen on a menu were during some of my visits to Old Word Milwaukee at their cheese mart and tap room.

I'd try just about anything once. I'm that way about about a lot of things.

But then I'd go back to bread-cheese-butter, which has always been my fave.

I'm mostly just a traditional grilled cheese person. Normally I'd be up for trying the jalapeno grilled cheese, but I'm off spicy for awhile.

I did see one on one of those restaurants shows where they did a sourdough bread with a brie and raspberry jam similar to one or two of those in your list. I tried it at home and I approve.

Edit - oh and the apple one. Again minus the spicy butter for now.

They're one of my customers! I work for a food distribution company and they get most of their products from us.

I'm not big on adding fruits or veggies (with the exception of onions) to my grilled cheese, but I'm all in for any meats being part of a grilled cheese. And I love the spicier cheeses :)
