Eggs are great as long as you don't have an existing condition which would require you to limit fat/cholesterol. For normal, healthy people, EAT THE EGGS.
Incorrect. Eggs are healthy for almost everyone. The fat and cholesterol in eggs are healthy. Natural sources of fat and cholesterol are NEEDED for optimal health. We were lied to in the 1980s and 90s and new info has been around for awhile but the myth that eggs are bad just won't die.
PS: the YOLK is the healthy (nutrient dense) part. Eggs are a healthy food designed to eat whole. Please ignore people who tell you to only eat the whites! omg
Umm... how is what I said incorrect? People with diseases like diabeetus aren't supposed to have as much dietary cholesterol as people who don't have those kinds of diseases. So us "normal" people with none such condition should eat whole eggs. Read my post before you call it wrong, please.
Many sources claim diabetics should observe a limit of 200-300 mg of cholesterol per day (I realize 300 mg per day is a "normal" limit as well, but I don't subscribe to that idea). I don't know why because I'm not diabetic; I just love eggs. (ETA: I used diabetes as an example disease. People with diseases should follow their doctors' instructions.)

I'm diabetic and my doctor actually says the same as the guy above. Diabetics just have to watch carbs.0 -

This whole thread has me craving eggs now, but I can't eat the yolks anymore since having my gallbladder removed. I was pissed too when I told my doctor about the pain I would have after eating them. He yelled at me saying "you shouldn't even be EATING eggs! Just stop eat them! You have high *blah blah blah*". He didn't provide me with an answer at all. I just get the egg whites in a carton now. /sigh0

I think you're fine. I always used to have a hard boiled egg for breakfast, then my roommate said something about how eating an egg is like eating a chicken's period and I haven't been able to eat one since.0

2 soft/medium boiled eggs every morning... and as trogolicious may have been humorously implying, i crack a lil salt and pepper on them. sometimes just pepper.
160 calories and i tend to stay completely full till lunch. i like the nutrients in eggs for my goals. makes it easy to cut calories. I have backyard chickens that pop them out often. i give them away to neighbors. I love Eggs, especially soft boiled.0 -
I have a hard boiled chicken or duck egg on a daily basis, as a bedtime snack.
I prefer duck eggs, as even though higher in calories, they are bigger and to me, taste much richer and are far more filling. An ex trainer was also amazed at how filling they are when she ventured to try them.
YES! This! If you have access to duck eggs, get them! I finally managed to get some duck eggs today as a friend's ducks finally started to cooperate and lay after 3 months of being little jerks...0 -

Yes, but not a HUGE difference. Of course that's going to depend on a few factors. I've had some duck eggs that taste no different than chicken eggs. I've had some that taste a little 'goaty' if that makes sense. The latter probably because the ducks probably got to wander around the property and eat whatever. I found it pleasant and not over powering. By the way, the yolks are really huge.0 -
I said moderation. Immediately ate 2 boiled eggs after. Brought 2 more boiled eggs for today…
Let me amend my comments and say do what works for you and try to mix it up sometimes. Also let animal welfare outweigh your budget sometimes (it's good for the soul).0 -
