That cereal is so good. I like the vanilla clusters one. Once in a while I have it for breakfast, usually it's just my yogurt and sometimes fruit too.

The only problem I see is that you might have measured using a cup rather than weighing the cereal.

+1. I don't see how cereal, for breakfast of all things, could be cheating.

Because cereal is usually full of sugar, and there are plenty of other ways to have breakfast - most of which include a lot less sugar and a lot less calories.
There's nothing wrong with sugar. In fact, from a biological standpoint, it's very much a good thing.
Doesn't it burn pretty much directly into fat?
Not at all. Every cell in your body relies on sugar for fuel.
Even if that's the case, it's still extra, unnecessary calories.

And you do realize that in order to be healthy our body requires calories...there is a threshold below which we are harming ourselves. I'd be willing to bet that you're under that threshold based on your responses.
My health has been total **** since I was 10, I'm 21 now. What does it even matter? Regardless, I can still state *theoretic* facts about nutrition. Everybody has different dietary needs. But still.

LMFAO I honestly think your on the total wind up with all this **** your talking all over these forums
    Shut up, and speak English.

good luck on your journey to self destruction. I hope it ends in rainbows and fairies...

I find it kinda fun to get to say "you're going to die!" with a straight face. Doesn't often happen, but it sure is fun when it does. Maybe fun is not the word I'm looking for. *shrugs*

    Short answer: No.

    Long answer:

    a) I don't have cheat meals/day. It's counterproductive to "cheat" on your diet since you're only cheating yourself out of healthiness. If I'm choosing not to eat a certain food or eat it rarely, it's because it's something I don't feel the need to "cheat" and have it, which can lead to an unhealthy diet mentality. That said, I do "treat" myself with sugary foods and drinks that I don't include in my diet daily, but I always make sure to stay under my maintenance calories. Eating your maintenance calories for a day won't hurt your progress in the long-term, but going over will.

b.) It depends on your goals. Most people using MFP only really care about calories and maybe macros. It sounds like you're taking a "clean eating" approach, which is something I strive to do as well. However, sugar does not cause you to gain weight more than calories from other sources, and can be part of a balanced diet. I tried to reduce sugar as a New Year's resolution and I just ended up lacking energy. The only issue I have with your breakfast from a "clean eating" standpoint would be that honey bunches of oats contain artificial flavors, but if that doesn't matter to you, I don't see an issue.

c.) If you deprive yourself of food you like, you won't succeed. There's no reason to eat plain oats with nonfat milk everyday. I love oatmeal and I make it with unsweetened almond milk. I flavor it with cinnamon and 10 g of creamy peanut or almond butter, then I add fresh fruit. It makes it more nutritious with healthy fats, protein, and fruit, plus it tastes much more delicious.

ETA: I finished reading (ok, skimming...) the rest of the thread and it's clear that you're not eating enough calories. Either you need to educate yourself on nutrition because you don't realize how unhealthy that is or you need to seek professional help for an eating disorder.

I had 4 Samoas last night and plan to have another 4 tonight. I'll join in the effort to eat GS cookies in honor of other MFPers.

TKG: Please seek professional help. 600 calories per day is not enough.

A bowl of cereal is not a cheat meal. Not to offend, but get a grip.

No need to be rude, I was just wondering considering cereal has a lot of sugar and I usually eat organic or extremely clean. You should get a grip and learn to keep your rude comments to yourself or just don't answer at all. I've seen you on other questions and you're rude to everyone so I won't take it to heart

Well, it sure must have been a very limited sample size as I have been on these forums for years, assisting people, both here and in Pm. However, when someone asks if a sub 300 bowl of cereal, is a cheat, I will get a little bit irritated because it is downright unhealthy to be thinking in that manner, and as someone with a long history of EDs, I do not wish others to he going down that line of thinking. I guess my mother must be rude too, since she often tells me to get a grip when I am taking things to extremes, or being a bit silly. I do not care either way whether you consider me rude or not. My friends on here, know who I am and know I have a good heart, even if I do get my teeth out once in a while.
