I'm 5' 5 1/4", CW is 188. I spent a lot of my late 20s and early 30s (36 now) at around 155, which at the time seemed awful to me, but I'd love to be back there now. I'm a classic yo-yo dieter. My GW in the past has always been 130, but the couple of times I've actually gotten there, I'm not satisfied and want to lose another 10 lbs.
So my realistic goal is maybe 145, my secretly hopeful goal is 135, and my super secret I'd be so happy I couldn't stand it goal is 125. Or to put it another way, size 10 (US) would be good, size 8 would be great, and size 6 would be AMAZING.0 -
I'm 5'6- right now I'm 175 (down from 191) but I would like to be around 1550

This is tough because it matters what your body composition is. I'm 5'5.5" (husband says 5'6" lol) and I'm 131 right now. I've been 125 (size 2) but everyone told me I was too skinny. I go between 130-140 and am pretty happy here (size 4/6). I also look better at 130 than I did at 125 because of weightlifting.
The thing about being taller is that your hips get in the way of getting into too small of a size. I looked emaciated at size 2 because my pelvic bones were sticking out. At the point where your bones are sticking out and you still think you are too big, you have unreal expectations. So yea I like 130-140 and fit rather than lower and skinny.0 -
Before I had kids I was 135 pounds. I don't want to work that hard to get there again. I am 47 years old and would like to be around 150. However when I am in a size 10 I don't care what I weigh I am going on maintenance!!!!0

I'm 5'6.5". Med-large frame. SW 215; CW 183; goal at the moment is 157 (a healthy BMI). I think I will want to be in the 140s ultimately.0

Hello! I'm 27 and my current weight is 149 but I'd love to get down to anything under 140. My lowest weight (when I was 18/19) was 126 - oh how lovely that was! Think that weight might be unrealistic now, but if I could get to 130 I would not complain.0 -
Im 5'7" and was 149 a couple of years ago and was comfortable there, but would've looked better in a swimsuit with maybe another ten lbs gone (or more ?, it's hard to say because I didn't get there) now I'm 170 trying to get to 150 again and I'll see when I get there if I want to go further. My thing is I don't want to restrict myself so much that I have to be obsessive about it, I still want to have a life. Lol! Also, depending on how much muscle you have you might weigh more but look leaner than someone of the same weight and height that is "skinny fat". Interestingly when I was 150 my clothing sizes ranged from 6-10 depending on brand, average probably a size eight.0

5'6, goal weight was 115, but now at 118 I'm not really trying to get there, more focused on body composition.0

I'm 5'6 and currently weigh 139. At my healthiest, I was 125 lbs and would love to get back there again but don't know that it's realistic at this point in my life. When I was 125 lbs I was late teens, single, no kids and worked out at least an hour every day. Now, I'm almost 34, am married and have birthed 3 kids. My body has changed and I just don't have the time to work out like I did then. So, I'm setting my goal at 130 and then once I get there, I'll reevaluate.0

I am 5'6" and my CW is 168 but I would like to get down to 145 pounds. My ultimate goal is to fit in a single digit pant size!!0

im 5'5 and cw 161.5. i set my goal at 150. i know ive maintained in the 140's and felt pretty good. at 133 i didn't always feel healthy. so with my age (48) ill be more than satisfied to be 145-150 and hopefully stay at that!!0

I range between 150 and 155 , but would like to be between 140 and 145. I'm 54.
I'm working on NROLFW to try and reshape and get rid of the muffin top.0 -
5'6'', between 120-125...more focused on gaining muscle and losing fat than the scale, though.0

Hey, I'm 5'6" and currently weigh around 145lbs, aiming for 130-135lbs!0

I'm 55 years old and 5' 6". I'm currently 185. I look damn good at 142. That was my weight after 3 kids when youngest was 5. I was playing soccer, biking, running and paddling. I have broad shoulders, size A boobs and largish hips and a curvy butt.
I can come down to a 10, occasional size 8 but nothing smaller since I was 15.
I was 122 until I had to put on weight to get pregnant. I went to 126 or so and then I could conceive.0 -
I am 5'6''!
At my heaviest I was 162lbs. A lot of extra love around my mid sections and upper thighs.
At my healthiest I was 135lbs.
My goal weight is around 138lbs. Which makes me a size 6.
I would say anywhere in between 130 and 140lbs is a good place (well for me).
Great Information here. I was also curous about this0 -

We are almost exactly the same. I'm 5'6.5" SW 216. CW this am 182. My first goal is 155 (BMI under 25!) with an ultimate goal of 145-150.0 -
Hello Ladies!
My starting weight was 194 and my current weight is 177 (woo hoo). I really liked how I felt and looked at 150, so that's what I'm shooting for!
We got this!0 -
All through high school and college I weighed 125 and wore a size 8. I felt I was too thin but was never able to put on weight. Granted, I wasn't trying too hard but I ate a lot of junk food and drank nothing but regular sodas and then beer when I was old enough. That was 20 years ago. Since then I have gotten married and then had a child 8 years ago. That's when my weight started going up. The docs said I gained just the right amount of weight during my pregnancy. I was wearing a 10 then and I did drop back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but have slowly started gaining ever since. I'm now in a 16. My goal is 140, at least 145. What I really want is to be back in a size 10. I felt comfortable in my body then.0

I'm 5"5" and depending on my age I had different ideas of "ideal weight." When I was in my early 20's I thought my ideal weight was 120lbs. In my 30's it was 130lbs. In my 40's it was 140lbs. In my 50's I settled for 145. Now, I'd very much like to be 145lbs.- lol - but I think that 140 would be ideal. Time will tell!!0

I'm 5'7" At my heaviest weight I was 225 and where I began my journey years ago. 2 years ago i took myself a little too far and got down to 121 which was just not a good place for my body. I was freezing cold all the time, had no period, and the weight was hard to maintain. I gained a lot of weight back after being too low which was frustrating. I got back up to 154 pounds last year. I think I look my best between 125-130. My goal is 125 before going to maintenence so that I can stay under the 130's as I eat at maintenence calories.0

Hi ladies new to MFP here, I am 5'6 and 147 pounds... I want to say medium frame but I'm not sure might be small because I look on the smaller side depsite being almost 150 pounds. I have no portruding bones though, I'd say I'm nicely coated in a layer of fat with bones hiding somewhere in there. I'm a size 8/medium in most pants. My goal weight is somewhere between 125-130.0

I'm not 100% sure yet, but I'm thinking around 155. When I was in high school, I weighed between 135-140 and was very skinny. I don't think those numbers are even possible for me now that I have hips, boobs, butt, etc. I'm just shaped differently.
ETA: I would say I am medium-large frame, leaning more towards medium.0 -
Interesting how some people, at the same height, didn't have periods when they were 120+. I got pregnant on accident when I was 110-115 and have never not had a period!0

In high school I was 135lbs and wore a size 10...
In my early 20's I was 158 and a size 8...
I am 42 and weigh 164 and wear a size 7....
Ideal weight...eh...I care about BF%0 -
I'm 5'7 with a medium frame but I would say large frame in the hips area. I currently weigh 155 lbs but my goal is 138lbs. I was my goal weight before I had my son and was a size 4/6.0
-
I'm 5'6" and 25. Just lowered my goal weight from 135lbs to 130lbs0
-
At 5'6'' and 32 years old, am 151 +/- depending on the day, and have gained 10 lbs since starting with heavy weights, so size 8 stayed steady as the scale went up,but things are much more firm... If i went to 145 i would be happy but no lower...0
-
5'6'' here and I find that anything in the 130's is a good weight for my body type.0

This sounds EXACTLY like me, CW and everything! I would love love LOVE to be back at 130, but would still be quite happy with 145.0
