Also made the switch and enjoy the unsweetened (either original or vanilla, very little difference). I use it on oatmeal and in tea and coffee. Having it in coffee turned out to be a difficult adjustment but I'm more or less used to it now. It is more expensive than skim milk but only half the calories. Being an older woman, my daily calorie allotment is very small, so any way I can save calories is a good thing. One thing I did notice is that if you enjoy making sugar/fat-free instant puddings, be aware that the almond milk will not set up the pudding; it stays pretty much a liquid. Just not the same chemical reaction as with skim milk (or other dairy milk).

Mix your pudding in the blender and through in some tofu to help it to set up.

Thanks! I was just wondering if it tasted good, and I think I will give it a try on my next shopping trip!

You shouldn't worry about the lower protein content thats in almond milk, as thats not the reason why you are drinking it surely?
Hazlenut and Coconut milk are great also, but has hardly any protein in it either. You can get your protein from other sources, so don't worry about it not being high in every single thing you consume.

I use almond milk for my whey protein (I use plain whey). I mix half of the chocolate and half unsweetened vanilla. The chocolate adds flavor, and the unsweetened cuts the calories, carbs, and some sweetness.

I feel like I can finally enjoy chocolate milk, as I HAAATE regular milk. Disgusting.

I'll eat it on or in something, but I just can't drink it by itself.
