No makeup

I don't want to start a battle on the makeup thread. I see a lot of people posting there that they love makeup and nail polish and love to wear it and feel prettier with it.

My own personal take is that I don't like to wear it and I feel lighter and better when I don't wear it. I do wear some of it when I have to (to work and for weddings, big epic nights out and stuff) but I usually can't wait to wash my face.
Usually I just have a little eyeliner maybe, and that's it.

I don't like wearing nail polish on my fingers.

Maybe I'm the only girl who feels that way?

I think it's supposed to go on your fingernails, not the fingers themselves.

If I don't have any on people start asking me if I'm feeling okay, that's how washed out I look without it. That said, I only wear it to work or if I'm going out. I leave the house for work twice a week and I rarely go out, so there's that.

I'm a girly girl. I don't go out without makeup, hair, and nails done. Can't help it, I'd feel naked without.

I'll usually only wear a little eye shadow and mascara... maybe some lipstick if I'm going somewhere fancy. I don't really like to bother with it and have never worn much make-up, so it's not really a big deal I guess.

I have to wear makeup due to the fact I have acne due to my PCOS (a hormonal condition). Well, I don't HAVE to but I'd be very embarrassed if I didn't.

I hate wearing makeup. I've tried all different kinds and I use primer and properly moisturize... I've even gone to a makeup workshop to learn how to apply it (bit of a weird phase I went through after a break up) but it always leaves my skin feeling disgusting and oily and heavy. Honestly I look fine without much, and frankly look like a drag queen with too much. At most I put on eyeliner and gloss and then maybe use a highlighter in the corners of my eyes and right below my brows to brighten myself up.

I scare small children without it so that has a lot to do with me wearing makeup every day

It depends. Sometimes I really like putting on some make-up, but usually I don't wear any since I don't want to get up earlier in the morning to apply it.

What I never wear is nail polish. I just hate everything about it (smell, look, application, removal) and it seems so unnecessary.

nothing wrong if you wear makeup or you dont. Its all about self image. Make up makes me feel confidant and put together which in return makes me happy. I dont wear a lot but the little I do makes me feel 100x better.

I very rarely wear makeup. I don't mind putting it on but hate having to take it off before bed.

And nail polish just chips off in like half a day anyway.

I like makeup, just makes me feel better. If something *that isn't hurting anyone or myself makes me feel better or prettier, then why not?! I don't judge others that don't wear it, I just like it. (I also love nail polish, but don't always wear it. I don't like when it starts to chip.)

The most I wear in terms of makeup is lipbalm/chap stick. Once in awhile I'll wear powder. But I prefer the natural look because I don't have to worry about reapplying my makeup if it runs or I sweat it off.

The only time I can think of me using the full blown makeup (mascara, powder, eyeshadow, ect) is if I am in a anime convention and I have a really fancy cosplay that requires me to wear a lot of makeup. So far most of the cosplays I've picked have allowed me to not wear the outrageous amounts of makeup and focuses on my natural skin tone. lol

I guess I don't understand the point of this. You don't want to start a battle in that thread, so let's just start one here! Yay!!

If you don't like make-up, fine. If you do, fine. I think as adults, we can all make that choice and recognize that beauty is subjective (meaning that just because you prefer natural, doesn't mean everyone does).

This thread goes the same EVERY time.

JC wear it if you like it, when you like it...or dont at all.

I like how I feel when I'm wearing it so I do wear it sort of often. However, I also like NOT wearing it so I will often go without. It just depends on my mood and frame of mind. I don't need to choose a side if we start a battle over it, I just do what I want. :) I do have rosacea so when I'm having a flare up I like to put a little coverup on to tone it down. Otherwise I have people asking me how I managed to get a sunburn in gray, gray Washington in the winter!

I wear mascara when I go to work or if I go out somewhere with hubby.

And I wear Burt's bees chap stick in pomegranate (love that stuff). That is all I own for makeup. I feel itchy with foundation and lipstick. That's just me though. My skin is sensitive I think.

Love my skin creams though. I'd spend a fortune on them if I could.

I did like the idea in the other thread about trying a new makeup item every so often as a perk for goals being met. I might actually do that.
