I didn't find the initial post offensive. For my own preference, I DO NOT want a thigh gap... just makes women look bowlegged.

    uhoh!!! you're body shaming!

lol....way to make your 'lolapology' even more of a lolapology.

she clearly body shamed. and shes a woman. thats like 10,000 times worse, at least for your argument.

aaaand she referenced a medical condition. 15,000

lol feeble attempt to throw the spotlight on someone else there bub. Source: I'm a woman and still think your a huge jerk.

honey she yanked the spotlight on herself with that comment. Do you knwo how many babies, especially in the african american community suffer from this condition? Jerk or not. that was wrong, but no one will say anything to her because she is a female. go on.

Still trying to see how my saying I did not want a thigh gap ( and yes I do think it makes you look bowlegged, my opinion and I'm entitled to it, you do not have to agree with me, nor did I say that wanting a thigh gap was "wrong", just not my thing) has anything to do with African-American babies, or any kind of babies.. Huge reach there, and makes no sense at all.

Do you find bow-legged women repulsive?

What if I said that women with tattoos are repulsive? That's ok?

However, unless you are genetically predisposed to it and are thin enough, you will not have to worry about it. Hopefully for you, neither of things are applicable to you.

[FTR, I do not find women with tattoos repulsive at all]

Who said anything about repulsive? That's totally you, not me. Sorry if you think women are repulsive; I do think your attitude may be, however. I said "I" do not want a thigh gap. I don't care if other people want one, good for them. Just not for me. You may be more comfortable if you take that big stick out of your butt.

The OPs original thread.....you said you agreed with it so I assumed you read it...my bad!

Also...lol at you trying to read something into my post that just was not there...feeble attempt.

Also, as you like to stick your foot in your mouth, no, I am not 57, yes I am a VP at a very large company, and yes I do hang out here when time permits.

    Here's how many ____ I give.

Ummm.,when you say 'here's how many ____ I give", you usually attempt some type of quantification.

That is entirely up to her. She is currently being raised by her mother, who is part of an extremely religious(messianic) family that does not see homosexuality/lesbianism as a way of life.
I am not religious at all, one of those things where her beliefs are being imprented on them. Shes not even allowed to wear earrings.

You see your daughter, though. Believe it or not, fathers and their opinions are very important to little girls, and it can shape who they are. All I'm suggesting is that these opinions that you have shared here are not representative of a positive male role model in a girl's life.

I know I've particpated with the others in razzing you a bit. I get that maybe you didn't communicate your views very well, and haven't really meant harm, but I would suggest you think carefully about the things you say before you say them. Especially around your daughter. Best of luck! No hard feelings, I hope.

None taken, its the internet. that was the first time I saw them since their mother and I split. I can not see them because in her culture I am lving in sin having seperated from their mother. Her family and her insist i can only see them at church. Obviously until a judge proves otherwise.

Wow! That's really wrong. I hate to hear when a father is kept from his children. Good luck with that. I hope the courts rule in your favor.
It is what it is and what it will be.

all I wanted to do was say, my bad.

I accept your apology. Though, like I said earlier, I totally missed your other thread. LOL!

Like someone else said though, be careful with what thoughts and opinions you share on the internet. Think carefully before you post.

    yep. Ill try.

it's refreshing to see that you're being reasonable.

really sorry to hear about the situation with your kids, that really sucks.

as for lesbianism, you might want to think about reconsidering your opinion about that, because all the scientific evidence suggests that homosexuality is natural.

In humans there seems to be a lot of variation in sexual orientation, i.e. a continuum from exclusively homosexual to exclusively heterosexual, with bisexuals falling in the middle of the continuum and as such i don't like pigeonholing human sexuality into categories. And it exists in all cultures (although it's violently suppressed in some but it still exists even in places like Saudi Arabia where there's the death penalty for it)... this plus homosexuality in bonobos and common chimps (our two closest relatives in the animal kingdom) strongly suggests that homosexuality is natural and inborn. Though I don't think that there is anything wrong with homosexuality as a choice either. for people who fall on the bisexual part of the continuum, homosexuality may well be a choice, and so what... it's their life and they're not hurting anyone.
There are also species where individuals do not reproduce but instead expend their energy protecting family members who carry their genes. It's hard for people to understand because we tend to think that genes are how we copy ourselves, but that's backwards. Once one approaches it from the proper perspective it all makes perfect sense.

that happens in humans, both in terms of explaining tbe evolution of exclusive homosexuality (as opposed to bisexuality) and also in terms of explaining the evolution of within-group altruism. i.e. individuals risking their lives to protect and save others in the group... genes for this are selected for because the group members they're risking their lives for carry similar genes. the population as a whole fares better than less altruistic populations. Altruism and co-operation are major factors in the human evolutionary niche. Homosexuality can be seen as part of this, both as you say from having group members who don't reproduce but who raise siblings, nieces and nephews, but also because same-sex mating increases bonding between same gender groups within the tribe, which increases co-operation. In particular when you consider that humans at some point evolved a social structure where by bands of men went hunting and bands of women went gathering, helped each other with childcare and even helped each other to give birth, you can see how homosexuality would bond same-sex individuals together closely to form close-knit groups that do these things, thus increasing the co-operation within the group, and increasing the groups chances of survival. Then you'd have heterosexual sex, males provisioning females with hunted food (protein, fat and iron) and females provisioning males with gathered food (carbs, vitamins and other minerals) bonding male groups to the female groups and increasing paternal investment in offspring.

    all very interesting stuff....

Oh my goodness. To thigh gap or not to thigh gap, both look good as long as it is healthy. But seriously, who cares what this OP thinks, he doesn't look too much like a winner. I find douche-lords repulsive. And everyone else who body shames is just insecure, let them shame, they are the ones looking like fools! Be confident in yourselves, and screw the rest.
