I went from a clinically obese 40%+ body fat to an athletic and fit 8-9% body fat and lost almost 100 lbs. People in general treat me far better without any question. Right away if you're drastically overweight, society immediately has generally a lowered respect for you and what you have to say, your opinions, your outlooks, etc.

I agree. I'm only ~50lbs down from my start weight and I've already noticed the change in the amount of respect I am given.

I find people comment more on my weight now. They make comments about me being small or cute or pretty or whatever. Before it was only really my family that commented on my body (in the we're concerned for your health and you need to lose weight, kind of way). Now it's strangers and coworkers who comment on my weight loss or how petite I am... I'm not sure I like this change. I think they're trying to be supportive and/or are trying to compliment me but I just find it awkward.

I understand how some people might act differently because of their weight loss. I was always the kind but shy girl, that hasn't really changed much. I've always been nice to people and I never comment on someone's weight, that also hasn't changed. I do take more care with my appearance (but I'm not sure if that's a result of losing weight or if it's from joining the workforce - I feel like I need to be presentable for work). I like getting more fitted clothing. I think I get some more male attention? I'm kind of oblivious in that department though and tend to ignore most guys (that sounds mean but if I'm out and about it's usually for a reason).

I get more looks but fewer bites.

    Go figure...

100% different in almost every aspect of life.

Couldnt of said it any better man. Complete 360 and some lol

In some areas, it's quite a negative difference. People make wild assumptions based on appearance. I really have to work hard to counteract some of the negative perceptions and reactions.
All of this and i'm not even *as* ripped as the guy who posted this. People tend to assume that you're a dumb "meathead" who chases all the girls, loves banter and enjoys intimidating people smaller than you. In reality i'm actually fairly introverted.
