Hi,
I know there have been a lot of threads recently tiled:
Quit, cutting out, weaning myself off - Sugar.
Most of us realise you mean cutting back, reducing your intake, as opposed to cutting out altogether.
However there seems to be a minority of members who seem to believe you mean you are totally taking sugar out of your diets and I think you are causing them too much stress and anxiety (in fact for some I think it has blown their minds).
Therefore in future post please can the wording of your threads be better thought out - come on lets take everyone's feelings into considerations - not everyone can read between the lines.
Thanks guys.

P.S. - can we also cut back on the A - word (seems to provoke needless discussion).

I am thinking the A word is addiction.
As featured in all these 'I have a sugar addiction!!!' threads.0 -
Aww, but I can't quit reading sugar threads. You might say I'm addicted to them.0

Ah! Yes, obvious now!!0 -
Sorry - yes it's the addiction word.
I didn't want to actually say it - as it may cause an argument. lol0 -
can we say cutting out white sugar?0

can we say cutting out white sugar?

I'd like to know how you have over 2000 posts if you only joined in January........are you a ghost?0

The people who post those threads...probably won't read this thread.0

I just think the people saying they are quitting/cutting sugar sound ridiculous. It's not that I don't understand what they really mean. Words matter, and how can you be taken seriously here if don't even know what it is you are giving up?0
-
I need my sugar. I run/bike 1-2 hours per day so I need the energy. So I'm not too worried about it. Plus, I get 95% of my sugar from healthy sources, like fruits. It's all the processed junk and sugar sources I avoid.
Luckily for me, I don't have a sweet tooth. I'd much rather prefer my homemade chicken marsala or my quinoa black bean chili to a double fudge chocolate cake.0 -

Agreed, because splitting hairs is tedious work for no calorie burn.0

You say that, but there must be some calorie burn when applying angry fingers to the keyboard?0 -

True but I'm not sure its enough to make up for the sugar I'm not allowed to eat, lol.0 -

Perhaps they are merely entertained instead of stressed and anxious. You sound a little anxious actually....0 -

Don't forget eating clean, soda and cleanses!
Edited to add: Since we must avoid the "A" word, I think we should be forced to avoid the "B" word too (binge).0 -

Good point, maybe the C-word (no not that one - I meant Craving) should be avoided.
Is there anything starting with D?0 -
D= Diet!!0

D= Diet!!
Lol - how long did the 'IIFYM is NOT a diet' thread run for the other day!0 -
I know what people mean.. so I try to answer with helpful rather than sarcasm and absurdity to the extreme which is not helpful.0

can we say cutting out white sugar?
that would be silly as its >95% the same as brown sugar0 -

It is not that difficult to figure out that they mean they are giving up sugary sodas, cookies, cakes, donuts, candy, etc.
I mean, come on, most of us DO have a brain and know how to use it.
But apparently it is much more fun for some people to jump in and say, "so you are giving up fruit? and carrots? because they have sugar!"0
