Why only 20 potatoes per day? What happens if you eat 21?

I experimented with it...ugh, it was awful. Bland boring potatoes with no fat. It gets old real quickly! Plus I had awful blood sugar crashes and has to eat every couple of hours. Works for some, but mainly because it's such an unappetising way to eat that you end up eating very few calories.

If prison guards were to serve prisoners nothing but 20 potatoes a day they'd be prosecuted for human rights abuses. And if zookeepers were to serve chimpanzees any of these fad diets that are circulating the internet, they'd be prosecuted for animal neglect and cruelty.

But when humans choose to do this kind of thing to themselves, apparently it's all hunky-dory.

I think this is an April Fool joke though... I mean it's before 12pm on April 1 in some parts of the world even if it's after 12pm where I am...

I probably wouldn't mind a diet where potatoes is my main carb. generally I don't eat them much because I'm fussy about how they're cooked and I'm lazy in the kitchen. But I have to have protein with my spuds.

    favourite spud dishes:

    - baked spud + baked beans + tuna mayo, in a polystyrene tray, a la spud-u-like

    - roast meat + roast spuds + at least 2 other veggies + yorkshire pudding + gravy + mint sauce

    - fish and chips, british style (chips = french fries, only they're fatter and less crunchy)
