5'0 ladies: how many calories do u eat

I've been eatin 1800 lately when I should be eating 1250 :blushing: so id like to know, how many calories other shorties like me eat :)

    I'm vertical challenged as well! I've been eating around 1200 calories a day and not eating my exercise calorie. :happy:
  • Well I'm 5ft3in (which is kinda close to your height) and I'm 125.5lbs and I eat 1200 calories a day, you can look at my diary if you like. I also work out 5 or so times a week and burn around 300-500 calories. Also I haven't been losing weight really fast though, but that's probably because I really don't have much to lose.     I'm 5"3 and I eat 1200 per day but I usually come in a little lower than that. I also don't eat extra if I exercise.

    5'2 I eat 1200 calories or less daily. I exercise and don't eat my exercise calories. I've lost 21 lbs since 11/13

    I'm 5'2 and at 1200. I heard shorter people are in the toughest category or weightloss. We should only lose about a half to one pound a week. Any faster and we could wreck out metabolism by eating too little. Weight watchers had me at 950 calories when I checked against MFP and my body wasn't losing ad I was hungry all the time. My body went into starvation mode.

    1800 a day, and no exercise calories back.

    Highly active, 5'1", 110 lbs

    Started at 1200, lost 30 pounds, plateaued and realized I needed more fuel.

    I'm vertically advantaged like you (I rarely hit my head on anything and on planes, every row is first class) ... I eat around 1250-1300 calories per day.

    I'm a little under 5'2 and eat 1200 calories and don't eat back my exercise calories. I lose an average of 0.7 pounds a week.

    I'm 5'2 120 lbs and just going into maintenance. I eat around 1400 and one day a week I'll go up to 1900. I don't eat exercise calories back. I've been pretty much maintaining for a few weeks now.

    I'm almost 5'1'' , 110lbs and I eat around 1,200 cal/day.
    I exercise quite heavily (resistance training and intervals mainly) 6 days/week. I eat back almost all of my exercise calories though.

    5'1", eating about 1900 cals a day and losing steadily. I work out 5-6 days a week either running or boot camp and tend to eat back almost all my exercise cals.

    Granted, I only started tracking three weeks ago but it's been good so far!

    5'0, I have my cals set at 1400 but I eat my exercise cals back.

    5'1. The recommendation here was 1200, so that is what I am doing. I have a question, though. If I burn 500 calories from Zumba or riding my stationary bike, does that mean I only had 700 calories that day?

    I also agree about losing 1/2 pound a week. That's typically what I lose. Right now I am losing 1-2 pounds a week just because I am trying like heck to get to 130 for my son's wedding in May.

    I am 5'2" and I eat 1900-2000 calories a day (I weigh 119right now). Losing about a half pound or less a week, but that is what i am aiming for :-) Trying to get to goal weight of 112.

    I'm 5'1 and 135 and I have mine set at 1450 based off my TDEE. And when I exercise, I usually eat back most of my calories, so 1700-1800 on those days.

  • I'm 5'2" about 126lbs. I eat 1900-2000 and eat back half my exercise calories. I'm very active on a daily basis and am shooting for a 1/2 lb loss per week

    im 5'1'' and 175 pounds. i eat about 1200 calories a day and only eat half of my exercise calories back, but i dont work out much as i have 3 toddlers and am too worn out by the end of the day. but i do lose and average of 1-1.5 pounds a week. when i do work out i try to go every-other day and i do a 40 minute brisk walk.

    I eat between 1200 to 1350 cals a day to lose weight. Im 4ft 8. I was worried i was noy eating enough but it looks like im eating ok for my height range.
  • I'm 5'1 and 108lbs; maintained at my original goal of 110lbs eating at 1500. Currently working on losing the last few bonus pounds eating at 1400 and exercising, though I'm more focused on body composition now.

    Being short and losing weight sucks tbh...10lbs really makes a world of difference on us.

    I am 5ft (just, well actually 1cm below that but for the sake of argument!!!). I currently weigh 229 and oh boy is that hard (it wasn't hard to get to, medication and a sedentary lifestyle...) anyway, I am currently under the doctor and eat 1000kcal a day and struggle with that (not because I need more but because I fill my diet with veg and low-fat proteins and am stuffed). I am only in my second week back on MFP - find that now I am actually using it properly it's really motivating - but last week I lost 5lb, but as you can see from my start weight I have a LOT to lose...I know that later on I will put the calories up but right now I can't really exercise (reason I am under the doctor)...really pay when I do. I think that you have to listen to your body and hear what it is telling you.

    I'm 4"11 and 116lbs, I eat 1400 a day and don't eat exercise calories, and have one day where I eat a few hundred cals more. I can lose on 1200, but I was too hungry and tired, so I bumped it up. To be fair I'm working on dropping body fat and weight train 6 days a week, and do cardio on top. I am not sure how much I'm losing per week yet because I only recently changed it, but even if it takes longer eating more, I can be more consistent, which is what will get results in the end.

    I'm 5'1 and 150 lbs, I eat 1400 calories a day, and eat about 50% of my excercise calories. Still losing weight.

    I'm 5'2.5 and lost 28lbs on 1400 cals a day. I was using Biggest Loser site then so didn't eat cals back and I was exercising but nothing hard core. Been maintaining over a year now so it seems to have worked for me.

    5 ft tall and eating 1650 calories per day :) doing mild exercise like pilates and light walks so not logging my exercise calories and not eating it. still losing around 0.25lbs per week

    5'1 here, I eat about 1000-1200 and I try not to eat back my exersize calories.
