Happy Friday Pepper's,
No suprise here gained 3 pounds this week, better than being up 6 like I was on Monday so current weight is 195 and that was so hard to log. Well will start the walking challenge will have to figure miles to my walks, but nice challenge.
Jacque nice to see you back and joining our walking challenge.
So how many miles do we need to walk and what is the time frame? I am going to walk everyday, got to start trying harder. I will see the nutritionist Monday morning and i will let you know what happens I will have a list of questions for her. :laugh: One is how many calories she thinks I should be eating and if I should eat my exercise calories. I will print out all my logs today to take with me.
Will check back later. maybe we can set up tickers with the amount of miles we walk to keep good track of them? :bigsmile:0 -

I lost ... down to 173.3 which is very close to what I was when I started on this website.
My BMI is also down.

yay! It's Friday!! The weather this week has been amazing...and it is to continue. Glad cuz dh is on vacation....let the yard work, house projects BEGIN!! honey do......:bigsmile:
down .4 this week. I'll take it considering how poorly I have eaten and no exercise. Didn't like seeing my weekly report on my HRM...ZERO minutes and ZERO calories...wt was LOWER! ok, so I am focusing on today! If I have a good week, am sure I'll be back in the 70's ( water loss )
I like doing the ticker for mileage...you can see it getting closer to your destination/goal. I woke w/dh and went outside for an hour power walk! loved it!
Cindy, I have checked 4 different sites about my BMR. They all have me higher than MFP, like by 100 or so. I sometimes eat 1/2 of calories back, maybe once will eat ALL back, but mostly don't eat them back. Just depends on my hunger....I try to listen to my body. I am currently in the range of 1200-1600 calories...and do real well if I stick to 1400-1500. I know maintenance will be MORE calories.... YAY, more food to eat?? gotta keep exercising will only allow that to happen!

So I am going to walk to Iowa so I put it im signature but now seeing Kelly ticer I am going to try and set that up. I am going to the gym after work so I will post mile later. Really feel good tonight, so far I am under my calories, night still young but hope not to ruin it. Went to the gym and boy I know I will be a little sore. Already made a gym date with a friend for Sunday.So feeling focus !0

congrats to all. In one way, shape or form, we all had success this week. Now, it may not be success on the scale but perhaps we may a better food choice or was more active or keep our goals in mind.

Well this morning need to rake yard for my ds friends bday party he wanted at our house. He is a real good kid so no problem. Lets continue to stay focused through the week end. Today will have some tough with a lot of junk food, but I made sure I have healthy choices for me. :drinker:

Cindy, did you do your ticker from tickerfactory.com? I copy all of the bbcode, then paste it in my signature. then I take out/delete the top row ......but leave [url
and add a ] then backspace so it is all together

I think if you leave it ALL in it should work too...I just take it out so I have more room in my siggy...you can also add it directly to your post0 -

Working this weekend.
Didn't bring a lunch today - so went to Wendy's w/a co-worker. Despite having a children's chicken sandwich & orange cup & kiddie frosty, it's still a 500+ cal lunch. I must do some sort of physical activity today or I'm left w/under 200 cal for dinner.
And I made a decision - if I wanted a frosty I must say no to fries...... Can't have BOTH.
It's no wonder the fast food industry is making us larger....0 -
Day tarting good, hubby made breakfast (To my specs thank the lord) 3 egg whites omie,spinach,tomatoes,onion,feta,peppers,avacado YUMMMMMM YUMMM!
he made lunch as well! Rye bread samie with lettuce onions, tomatoes and avacado and I ate some pita chips and water......SO GOOD!
I am talking the family into going to play tennis today as the sun is somewhat out and that is a rareity in these parts:) so off I go! I hope that all my pepper friends have a great day as well!:)

Hey ladies..... took my kids to the township's family fun night.
I didn't purchase any of the concession stand stuff for me. At work there was 1 mini pumpkin cheese cake muffin at end of day -- I ignored it.
Had a funny happen -- one of my parakeets escaped from the cage. I was attempting to clean the cage. So this small white parakeet is hoping around the living room floor. I'm trying to "catch" the bird while lmao.... my oldest girl takes a colander from the sink (the one she used today to drain pasta) and places the colander on top of the bird.
Then I'm trying not to laugh as Dave and I attempt to return the bird to the cage.

Hi ladies.
I'm working again today....yuck....
Had to go to the clinic for my annual military physical. Dr looks at my height/weight... tells me I'm obese. I know wii fit tells me the same thing.
I did state I'm watching the calories & exercising and I did lose week.0 -
last 2 days not good....eating. I do so awful when dh is home all the time (vacation). he is having a colonoscopy Tues, so today he has started changing his diet. we had a big breakfast since our oldest son was home from college....craving the carbs like madness. into the Halloween candy bars, made some rice krispy treats. :sick: I was even nauseated when I went to bed last nite from all the crap I ate...
Cindy ~ when you are raking, is that leaves? ours are just starting to fall, but I think it is mostly from our very wet summer and lately, strong wind. we still are waiting for our hard frost/freeze. laundry here as well.
Barb ~ ya know, I really hate that bmi chart crap. I have asked my dh, close friend, if they honestly think I am "obese". they all say no, and I AGREE with them. Even my cardiologist told me he would be happy for me to reach 160 lbs...still "overweight" bmi. I think there is much more to consider...body frame, muscle mass. I think waist measurement is more important. My best friend is 5'3" maybe weighs 120 and she cannot do stairs, ride a bike up a hill, or walk brisk b/c she gets winded. I look huge next to her, but am definitely more physically fit. I think you can be over wt and obese by the charts, but healthy. When I get down, I always remind myself of the 55 lbs I lost...was obese then, and I am still obese after keeping that off for about 8 yrs. I still see that as success...and I have been in the 'current' average woman size for most of them yrs...or within a size.
well, gonna plan my food for tomorrow and be sure to head Jacque's way! looks like it is gonna take me about 9 or 10 mos to get there! oh, are we doing it to the capitols or city/town? I think I did mine from Walker > Stafford. probably shorter from the capitols.

I don't consider myself obese - overweight yes. One of my unit co-workers was shocked to learned what size I wear. She esimated a much smaller size.
My weight goes to chest & stomach. My goal is ditch the stomach - kep the chest.

Got invited out to lunch. Went to Burger King... lucky for him I'm such a cheap date (all items were on value menu). Lucky for me, it wasn't too bad calorie wise (see my food diary)
Side salad
4 pc chicken tenders, crown shaped
value size unsweetened ice tea.
I'm saving all my calories for one spurge meal -- after the drag race/car show - going out on Saturday night (ok, w/this same guy as my lunch date. This dinner date will include his wife & my Dave)
We're going to the locally known wing place for dinner/drinks. I"M GOING TO ENJOY MY MEAL w/o thinking of calories.
May even have a dessert. One spurge meal... just one...

Been going non stop this weekend. Ate on the run which was not good. Walked alot but had no way to record. Doing fair so far today.Back to work. Going to the gym after work trying to stay focus0 -

Well my bus was running very late this morning and the nutritionist was running late and said she would call me as soon as she got to the office. She did have another appointment but would talk to me for a few mins. Well found out my insurance does not pay for the nutritionist. So I will not be seeing her. I am doing ok on my own anyway. Did good yesterday on calories, but no exercise. Today raining so again no exercise but doing very well with calories.

Sindy - we'll help you! I'm sure there's a ton of information available on nutrition from the library, bookstore or internet sties.
And on the flip side... good thing you found out it's not covered before you did several sessions and had to pay a big bill.

evenin...worked outside for a few hrs today...diggin' hostas and replanting. trying to thin things out a bit. dh on liquid diet all day...wow, he is a horrible patient. he spent most of the day on the couch and went to bed around 6:45. I am thinking I should sleep in our oldest son's bedroom ( he's away at college) so I can get a good nites sleep?? dh not drinking enuf fluids and I am concerned he will be very dehydrated tomorrow am....I took the am off to go w/him.

Kelly - I had a similiar situation w/Dave. Then he got his cpac..... and good golly, no snoring from him & I get a better night's sleep.

Well heres to a new day. Went over calories by 143, sad but it a start. Did well until I made my son chocolate chip cookies and instead of just having 2 which would of been ok I ate 4 which was not.
So onward I will try to so better today0 -
Jacque -- perhaps walk a little longer today or sneak in several 10 minute walks..... work off the 2 extra cookies.
Bottom line, it's 143 calories -- overall reasonable.... it could have been 243, 343, 443, etc. etc etc.

Thanks Barb you Pepper's are my support. Jacque I set my goal for 2 pounds a week so it gives me less calories but if I happen to go over 200 I am covered. For the first month I went over the 1200 they gave me but for the last couple of weeks I have adjusted so its not so hard. I am trying to even out all my meals to the same amount of calories which is proven to be a challenge for me but I will get there.
Kelly to answer your question I raked up a huge pile of leaves from my huge tree. We have had a lot of very windy storms and it is dropping lots of leaves looks like I may have raking to do again this Saturday along with the weeds popping up from all the rain. DH mows. Hope it stops raining so I can get a little walk in today.

Hi all... on my lunch at my desk. I'm having of yogurt, blueberries & cereal (which is typically a breakfast). Picked the blueberries myself in the summer. Works out. I scoop out 1/2 cup in container when I'm making my lunch at night. Put container in fridge. Add container to lunch bag w/ice pack. Viola.... perfect by lunch time. Now, when I run out of blueberries... some time later this month or November........
Ok, still hungry.... perhaps the cafetria has fruit cups today......................0 -
Well it was a light drizzle so went for the walk anyway, it was hot in my rain jacket but I got it in. :drinker: I usually have carrots,cucumber and cottage cheese for lunch but today I decided to switch it up, I had carrots, 1 cup of garden salad, little bit of blue cheese dressing and 3oz of turkey breast. mmmmmmmmmm. maybe if I switch everything up I will start loosing again. Still have plenty of calories for dinner and a snack.
Barb I am 2 more miles closer to you. :laugh:
