Since today is tbt it got thinking about the past and things I would change. So I pose this question to you if you had a Time machine what one event in your life would you go back and change

Multiple trips needed...I can't narrow it down to just one...and instead of changing something, I might want to go back to a particular moment and just relive it, not changing a thing

  • Would have told my Bro he had cancer so that it would have been stage 1 instead of 4 when they found out.

It's true everything happens for a reason and we do learn from our experiences, but there is a certain person I wish I had never met. I'd go back in time, simply to walk away.

I would love to go back and make myself go to college and get my nursing degree. But if I would have done that I probably would not have ended up where I was in life when I met my husband or had my children and I could not imagine my life without them so I.D.K. maybe I wouldn't change a thing.

Nothng!!! I've seen way too many scifi movies showing how any little change to past changes the present. And I really love my presetn.

Every event and/or decision made (good or bad) brought me to where I am today. Would not change a single thing.

I would have continued my education, I know it's not too late but it would have been nice to have it down earlier rather than later. Also I would have gotten myself out of a few bad situations.

I agree that I love my present and I love who I am today so I can't say in all honesty that I would change anything but I would also have taken better care of myself. I'm sure everyone could say the same.

One thing I would change is probably my attitude and thought process. I worried SOOO much for no reason! Half the crap I worried about I don't even remember!

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost a brother in law to a motorcycle accident as well. (((Hugs)))

I can relate. I lost two nieces in a car wreck just a few hours after seeing them, less than two months after my sister passed away. I'd want to spend a little more time with all of them if I could.

Not to open up a whole new can of worms here, but to those of you that have lost loved one's to tragic accidents - Would you convince them to not walk out the door that day? Or possibly delay their departure long enough to hopefully avoid whatever happened to them after they left?

I would've taken one of the multiple full rides I was offered for college instead of going to the uber expensive private school that I loved but only received a half ride. Loved the school, but not the loans so much.

Also, I would have spent more time with my grandfather before he died.

I would go back to the 19 year old me and appreciate the body I had then. 5'6" and 118lbs and refused to wear a bikini. WHAT WAS I THINKING???

I don't think so. Everything happens for a reason. Three of my nieces were involved in the wreck, two didn't survive but one did. I feel like they watch over her (and the rest of our family) from Heaven. It's bittersweet but I wouldn't change the outcome I don't think.

Very interesting perspective! I'm not sure I would be able to let someone walk out the door knowing what awaited them.

I would go back to yesterday morning and take another way to work, so I would miss the major accident I was in. It would save me money and the headache of trying to find transportation while my car is in the shop.

    two trips

1st - to 17yrs and tell myself he won't change and get out
2nd - 29yrs - don't get into that relationship and save yourself so much hurt and pain that has lasted 10 yrs and will until you die and go for the guy who is after you as he is the one who will never go away and hurt you like the others have

but these have made me who i am today and i got two beautiful children who love me no matter what
