    RHCP

I'm kind of going through a RHCP obsession right now. So. Much. Love.

I saw Candlebox open for Rush in concert.

What... what... what... I didn't know such beautiful things happened in this world...

I think they might have released their first album at the time, Candlebox that is. It was during Rush's RtB tour in 1992.

I am waiting for the 90's grunge fashion to come back in style. I LOVED that stuff. Heavy black eye makeup, messy (but sexy) hair, pleated school-girl skirts, gothic boots, pin striped vests, etc etc. But eh, who am I kidding. I still dress like that on occasion :P

I dig your music list as well. I often find my iTunes is stuck back in the 90's punk rock era too! Rock on sistah! :drinker:

I probably would have gone if I wasn't a year old at the time.

I like a handful of bands that OP mentioned, though it's been a minute since I listened to some of them.

I love the punk/folk crossovers. Aside from the ones already listed, The Pogues and Leningrad are still on my frequently listened-to list.

90's grunge, alternative, and rock are my treadmill jams. I love Spotify for finding old nuggets I haven't heard if forever.

Yes, Sirius Lithium is my 2nd favorite station after Sirius 1st wave. I was in my mid-late 20s then and it was a great time in my life and the music to go with it was phenomenal. Easily the last great era in music.

Chris Cornell has arguably the best voice to come out of that era/genre.

How does this thread make it to the second page without a mention of The Pixies and / or The Breeders?

I agree. It's a travesty. 'Hey' is my favourite song and I will never tire of hearing it.

    Yup, Badmotorfinger is fantastic.

Also, if we are going to talk about grunge, we have to include Mudhoney.

Other good 90 alternative bands I haven't seen already listed.....Fugazi, Pavement, Screaming Trees, Quicksand, Rollins Band, Jawbox, Soul Asylum, Sugar, Jawbreaker, Sponge, Afghan Whigs, Archers of Loaf.

Oh man, all of everyone's above. Not sure there's anything I can add- the 90s was my musical coming of age…

although- not all 90's, but throw in some Pink Floyd, Beatles, Zeppelin, Bowie, Phish, GD, Rusted Root…

And The.Flaming.Lips. She don't use jelly is just a tip of their 90s iceberg

    Up The Punx!

90’s grunge was my gateway to punk rock, and I owe so much to music for allowing me to find a group of people who I could relate to.
