Add me. I'm on here every day, and we can help support each other

I was my best friend's maid of honor last year, and I lost down to my high school weight for it, but I slowly gained it all back over the year, and I am struggling to at least teach myself how to lose slowly and then maintain once I get to the point that I am happy.

Don't forget to measure yourself regularly. Sometimes the weight stays the same for a few days but the inches go down as everything starts to tighten up and tone. That is where I find my motivation. And Very Good Luck!

I second this! Seeing inches drop can keep you going on the days that the scale is being a jerk.

Progress photos are also great motivators once you get going. Looking back, I wish I had taken more to show off my hard work but I couldn't get passed that instinct to hide from the camera. :ohwell:

Make a list of NSVs (non-scale victories) as you go. If you aren't familiar with the term, those are your own personal 'wins' that aren't related to the scale. Maybe you were able to do an exercise that you couldn't before, you suddenly discover you need a smaller size, or maybe you were able to overcome an obstacle.. whatever it is, write it down. Share it to motivate others. I find celebrating the little things makes it easier to put the bad into perspective.

    (Thanks for the add!)
