i want friends that are willing to put in the effort and try to get something out of the site. and someone who will respond to my overly excessive: posting about my naps and other recreational activities i may be into!
great sense of humor and trash talk are also welcome!

Gotta be fun, funny, can take a joke, dedicated, and just a lil bit crazy0

I'll take smart *kitten* over dumb *kitten*... I already deal with the latter on a daily basis!0 -

As for me, I am a daily logger and I have a closed diary, and I neglect my wall a lot. I enjoy the forums. I feel that I have too many MFP friends to keep up with (sorry if that sounds bad) but I enjoy people who post pretty often (forums or wall posts) and both good and bad things, keep it real...have a sense of humor yet don't have a negative attitude...share some common interests/goals/etc.
The friends I don't really keep up with or get to know (and sometimes delete) are people who rarely post anywhere on MFP or those who post very dramatic things like "I'm just thinking of giving up FML I hate diets!!!!!" or anything negative about their own bodies.
I truly don't mind at all if my MFP friends do not comment much or "like" my posts as long as there's a bit of back and forth dialogue occasionally. I could be fine posting something on my wall and seeing no likes or comments, wouldn't really bug me.0 -
sense of humour, a keen wit and an absence of them doing derpy things like fad diets, self-torture or self-starvation. And anyone who does those derpy things and then whines about how they're always tired/hungry/miserable and what are they doing wrong but then gets butthurt when you tell them what they're doing wrong... well that's just a double no-no (or a quadriple no, depending on your perspective on things)
Lifting heavy things for fun is always a bonus.
Not a big fan of people who subject themselves to crazy, unsafe "dieting" techniques only to complain about it every single day! Just STOP hurting yourself!
***Bonus points for using the words "derpy" and "butthurt"0 -

I tried to answer this question and realized I'm too easy. I don't have very specific qualities I look for. I really only avoid those who are often unkind (and don't make me laugh), have too much drama (not struggles), or people who request me but have a closed profile and no posts even once you accept the request. I also don't want people I know outside of the internet.
Skinny, heavy, fit, don't care. Motivated or struggling with motivation, don't care. I do like having fit friends with pictures just for a reminder of what is possible, but it's just a bonus. I have my diary closed, so I don't have to worry about what kind of feedback people give on diaries. If I did, I wouldn't want friends who were pushy about doing things their way.0 -
I mostly like people who are active and fun.0

vegan misandrists are highly preferable0

Nothing in particular really. I guess the big thing is the people who will be there to point you in the right direction again when you make a mistake. Not afraid to tell you that you made a mistake, but don't rub it in and beat you up about it. Sense of humor helps as well....0
