    I run 4 to 6 miles 2-3 days a week, and 3 days of the week I do heavy weight lifting, but only because I love both so much.

    You burn a lot more fat with a good strength training program than endless amounts of cardio.

    Eat well to fit your daily carb/protein/fat intake, strength train, throw in a bit of cardio for heart health and lift weights.

    Those who do no cardio and focus only on weight loss without strengthening their cardiovascular systems are foolish indeed.
    Those who thing strength training doesn't have just as much cardiovascular benefit as running on a treadmill or stationary bike or whatever are foo........I won't even finish the word because it's always easier to make personal attacks when in the end you won't have evidence to back up you claims, like the one you made above.

    That's why I do both.
