Mayra, that's the perfect attitude! Keep on healing!

maneyes. You can do it! Life changes are difficult but we can always make it work out. That is what you are doing!

I took my son in for a preschool evaluation today. It was a special needs preschool--as he has been in early intervention we had to test him---He so did not qualify. He did better with the testing than I thought he would. Surprised the teachers and me with a few things. I have one smart son. It is rather nice to sign a paper saying my child does not have a disability...

    Wishing everyone a fantastic day!!

Mayra-be careful with that foot-I slipped on time and broke mine - didn't realize it was broken until 2 weeks later.

    Kathleen-keep it up! Great job.

Deb-give the baby boy a great big hug - I know you are proud of him.

Realizing this morning that weekends are killing me....with being out and about and poor dinner choices it's not been good what I lose during the week I gain on the weekend...not a good cycle when I am not on maintenance. SO I decided that if we are on the road, dinner will be something I can log that way I know where I am....NO more buffets! Just can't do it. We ate buffets twice this weekend....Ryans and Chinese....I am sure I probably ate all my calories in the one meal! Reviewed my food log from two years ago and seems that when I ate less fat I did better so I've lowered my fat to 25% and we'll see what happens. Funny how we continue to learn as our bodies continue to age-seems like everything changes.

    Happy WEDNESDAY!

I know what you mean. I've been craving Chinese for three weeks and I finally had the buffet for lunch yesterday. I ate way too much and my stomach was upset all evening plus I am up a pound today. So not worth it!

    My motto....if I can't log it, I can't eat it!

Thanks Chrissy! I think that I need to adopt your motto--If it can't be logged, it doesn't get eaten...Would make things a bit more simple wouldn't it!

    Have a great day everyone!

    Good Evening Everyone,

I've gotten a little distracted with school work lately. Good news is the fact that I'm learning on how to control my portions. I have a long week ahead of me still. This weekend is going to be one challenging weekend. I have my first ultimate tournament paired with Oktoberfesting for the first time.

That is a great motto. I've been lacking on inputting my food and exercise. I'm not at the computer as much now unless I'm working on homework so I haven't been able to keep track. It seems that even without the tools of the counter, I can still keep porportions in tack so that is good news :D. I've been trying to up my water intake again along with exercising more while at school. I think I have to calm down on the water shortly before class or during class though.

  I understand. If only I had a Iphone where I could just log all day long instead of being hooked to the computer. Logging is very difficult when you have to sit down and put it in instead of the as you go type of thing. I had planned on planning ahead but that hasn't happened yet....Here is to planning ahead!

    Hello all,

Interesting week for me so far, but thanking God for my blessings. Hubby needs to go the dr. for medical exams. I'm praying to God and leaving everything in his hands.

It seems like my family are all full of heath stories, sorry about that. But, my foot is now better, and I'm looking forward to my workouts and doing this slowly.

    Take care all,
    Mayra

Hi all...Hope you are having a great day. It is a beautiful fall day here in SC. Just finished working and now am going to fix a salad and pizza on whole wheat sandwich thin. It is really good. Planning on going to the flea market on Saturday to empty out this office again. It just keeps piling up. We are having a fall family picnic on Sunday at the Pink Beds in Pisgah National Forest. I am trying to make a lower fat menu, wish me luck. See y'all tomorrow.

Chrissy...Love the new motto. I will adopt it as well.

Mayra...Prayers for good news for your hubby. Glad your foot is feeling better.

    Debnu...Here is to planning ahead!

Maneyes...Enjoy your weekend. Sounds like fun!

Still on the job search and I am afraid I am going to do something I am not looking forward to.

Why is it I finally find a snack I love and it is way too high in fat. I have been eating the Planters Nut-trition bars for months and I just figured out they are way too high in fat. I love these little bars they are a perfect size snack. Does anyone know what part of them could be so fatty ? :drinker:

TGIF...Everybody have a great weekend. I am going to the flea market on Saturday to clean out this office and Sunday is family fall picnic day. I get to babysit my great-nephew this evening for the first time so his mama and daddy can go out for a while. Looking forward to it. He is such a cutey. I am still truckin along at boot camp and really enjoying it. It makes my work day harder but so far I can really tell a difference in my strength and weight loss. I think it is really helping. See y'all on Monday.

smadag, I am sure the fat on those bars is from the nuts. I say if they work in your calorie plan keep them. It is hard to find food that works, so don't give up just based on one fact!

I am off to clean today. The kids are out of school for fall break and I have been neglectful in my cleaning duties--so we are cleaning before doing anything fun. Hopefully it goes fast!

    Have a great day!

    Hey Blues,

Oy level two of the shred is killing me! Does anyone else HATE planks like to the depths of hell and back? The last 10 minutes of level two are ALL plank variations. Gah! I feel like it works my arms and chest more than my abs so I hardly get to work my abs in a plank because my arms give out before my abs get to burn! Oh well, today is day three, hopefully I'll feel differently this time next week.

Weekly goals have been going well. I think my next goals will concern monitoring my carbs in reference to my protein. Basically making sure that when I have high carb days (which is often, especially as a vegetarian) that they are also high protein days (which doesn't happen often, especially as a vegetarian). Also making sure the carbs are as whole-grainy as I can get em. From tracking water all week I found I actually drink about 8 cups a day by myself! Whoo hoo!

Another good surprise: I found out that my gym membership goes until June instead of ending this past September. I totally forgot we got a bonus because me and my boyfriend signed up together and I was upset because it was rainy and couldn't run today when my boyfriend said "why not go to the gym?" I'm so silly sometimes.

Hope all is well with everyone and all their families! Well wishes and positive mojo and all that jazz for everyone today!
