there was leftover cake, cookies, and fruit from a meeting in the breakroom. The cake looked and smelled great but I just took some fruit. (although I am hoping that since they put the leftovers just before lunch it disappears before I go to eat myself so I don't have to leverage additional self control)

My company frequently gives away T-shirts for gifts for completing cost saving projects. In the past, I have gotten them in 2X and XL. This time, I decided to try a L. It's a little bit snug around the middle still, but it fit fairly well.25

I have stuck to my no red meat more than 1x per month and no fried food for a couple of weeks now. It's a start, but my gutt is healing and I'm feeling better. This is enabling me to focus on my next goal.19

I don't have to unzip my jeans to take them off. I'm hoping that they will continue to last for a bit longer though.17

Years ago I overstretched my oblique after a workout session. I didn't think much of it at the time....the pain came back at some point in the last ten years. I just learned to live with it....it seemed to come and go. I realized it's completely GONE in the last week. I'm down a total of 26 pounds in the last 18 months. I think the pain was caused by the extra weight around my middle 😕. It feels like a miracle actually.....lol . 😀 I haven't felt it in weeks!! I'm thrilled!!21

I completed a 5k run for the first time in over a year, with a time of 33 minutes! I also ran negative splits!21

I made it through meal prepping without crying!21

This may be a goofy one:
Y'all know the cardiovascular exercise recommendation for basic good health is 150 minutes a week of moderate exercise, 75 minutes of more intense exercise, or a proportionate combination.
Garmin tracks this as "intensity minutes", in which a minute of more intense exercise counts as 2 intensity minutes.
My first exercise activity of the week, a lovely fun bike ride out on the trail system in beautiful weather, got me to 170 intensity minutes.
No, I'm not taking the rest of the week off!19 -
My current NSV is being able to walk through the grocery store Chip, Cookie and Candy aisles without even glancing at them. Not only that, think of all the money saved from buying that overpriced junk! HA!21

Soon you'll be able to not only glance at them but pick them up, look at the nutrition label and the pretty picture on the box, think about how much you would (or wouldn't actually) enjoy eating them, and put them back on the shelf and say to yourself, "Not today."13 -
Saw my primary care physician this week. When we were talking about cardiovascular health, she said - with emphasis - "Your cholesterol is phenomenal. I wish more people had cholesterol that good."
It used to be high. My previous PCP, now retired, was encouraging statins. Not wanting to take statins was an important part of my committing to weight loss 9 years ago.26 -
@praksindiafit You got this!!5

I have actually read somewhere that fat loss can worsen cholesterol temporarily!9 -
I’m curious. My blood pressure is a bit elevated after weight loss. I know this is kinda an asinine question but I usually wear long sleeves. You’d have no idea I’m muscular unless I stripped down some.
When they do the BP cuff, it gets so painfully tight it cuts off circulation.
Do you think it’s possible that the cuff gives misreadings if it can’t tighten properly over muscle?
(I said it was an asinine question!)
I also got a TDAP over a week ago.( I guess they thought Tetanus might be a good idea after a banging case of road rash.) That went right into the heart of my bicep, and I almost hit the roof. Def a difference versus the last muscular injection I got. My trainer asked me yesterday “is that big bruise from your acccident, too?”
Getting healthier comes with sooooooo many questions.
Thats my NSV for today. Dumb questions, and the fact that I went down hard but came up swinging within a couple days. That wouldn’t have happened before.

I needed to buy size 10 jeans today, and I really wasn’t prepared for that!17

I did it anyways!!
When my fitness platform wasn’t streaming correctly instead of just giving up and calling it a day I decided to make my own short hiit routine to do with random exercises I had in my head at the moment. Did some warm up stretches, high knees, pushups, side shuffling, mountain climbers, jumping jacks and jump squats and a short cool down. Just started my watch and switched it up every 30 seconds or so 👍
I did it anyways!!!28
