I'm now in the healthy weight area on the bmi!!!!!4

Easily put on a pair of capris today that I haven't been able to wear in about a year.3

After a late night, I dragged my sorry carcass out of bed and and went to a 8:45 AM step aerobics class. The best part is that the instructor approached me after it was all over and complimented me on how well I did today. She runs a tough class that is heavily choreographed, and I'm thrilled that I can keep up now. It's getting easier! Considering that I fell on my bum the first time I went to her class, just staying on my feet the whole time feels like a victory.3

A couple of young ladies flirted with me at work today. Makes an old fellow like me feel good. Also makes the last couple of miles walked go by faster.

I put on a pair of jeans I hadn't been able to fit into since the summer I bought them (three years ago), and, while they didn't fit perfectly, I was able to button them, and no noticeable muffin top. When I got back home and took them off, I happened to glance at the tag, and realized it said size 14. I could have sworn they were sixteens!5

I was inspired by the evil influence of this thread yesterday to hit up the thrift store. I knew the slightly too small jeans I bought were size 2, I bought them for motivation. But this morning I noticed the pants I bought that fit right now are also size 2.
Damn you, clothing manufacturers. You had me at vanity sizing. :laugh:4 -
I'M ALL CAPSLOCK EXCITED!!!
I just put on my 2 favorite pairs of pants that I haven't been able to wear since 2010!!!
The one pair is still a tiny bit snug, but I can put them on and button them.
*does the "Happy in My Pants" dance*4 -
Finally seeing my abs.

tried on all the clothes in my closet. only the smallest clothes fit and i'm very close to them all being too big
being 28 and having been fat for most of my adult life, i had long ago given up on trying to be trendy and had tried to at least dress ok, at least look like i had put in an effort to look nice. sometimes i felt pretty good about myself, usually that only lasted til i saw a pic of myself.
since none of my clothes fit anymore, i decided to buy a few new things to get me looking decent through the summer. my sister had to convince me it was ok to dress trendy and shop a little in the jr sizes. i wasn't convinced. until i went to a birthday party dressed in my new clothes and was told by strangers that i looked really cute, then went to another event and everyone was telling me that i looked so great. it lifted my spirit soooo much. i've never felt very pretty and this weekend i truly have. i still have a long way to go, but i'm in a really good place already and feeling so satisfied with all the hard work i've put in.8 -
NSV of a slightly different kind...
I noticed that some of my "diet" food has been mysteriously disappearing....My DD15 & DD13 asked me to buy more because they like the healthy food!9 -
A group fitness instructor at the gym asked me if I was a fitness instructor and said my body looks like I'm a dancer or I do pilates. (I do!)4

I popped up on one water ski on the first try. Not too shabby for 61, if I do say so myself. I water ski once a year, and last year was my first time to be able to get up on a slalom after about 5 straight years of failed attempts. Last year's success was thanks to my MFP weight loss, which apparently is still working.5

Last night, I went out with two significantly younger ladies. I got carded also! I wish I had taken a picture of the kid's face when he read the date on my license. I could have been his grandmother!
That's awesome! That happens to me quite often, but I still have my babyface. I always say, "Thanks! You can card me anytime you'd like!"
I'm turning 50 in October. I don't quite know how that happened...3 -
This morning I put on a pair of pants that have never fit me (they are hand-me-downs and were too small when I got them two years ago). They fit perfectly and they are comfy!3
-
My BMI (calculated online) now says 'overweight' instead of 'obese'.5
-
I had to tighten my chest strap of my HRM!!! YAYYY!!!3
-
I made it through a whole Zumba workout today3
-
Yesterday I was an event that had homemade dessert, and I had brought an apple and ate that instead.3
-
I put on a pair of pants that I haven't been able to wear in ten years. They are snug but zipper went up easy. I'm moving from a size 18 to a size 16. YEAH!3
-
I needed a new swimsuit, went to JCPenny and ended up buying a size 14 suit. (Last year I was in a size 26 suit). I also buying a purchased a size medium cover-up. That has NEVER happened before.
I was in utter shock and then felt utter happiness.8 -
I've been wearing size 1XL-2XL shirts and size 16 pants (all US) for as long as I can remember. Today I was just looking around the stores because I didn't have anything else to do. I decided to try a size 14 pair of jeans and a couple of XL and L shirts. All of them fit, so of course I HAD to buy them. Only 12 pounds down, but I've lost 10.75 inches (I measure everywhere!) in just over a month.4
-
I last wore the dress I have on today a couple of months ago and spent all day wondering where on earth my massive belly had come from (biscuits... it came from biscuits). Stomach is by no means flat today but I really can see a difference in the same dress.4

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!-1

I've been using this app to track my weight and measurements now that I'm at maintenance. I wish I did it earlier, but I noticed my body was still changing even though I'm not in a weight-losing mindset.
So, I've lost a couple of pounds , but I'm still in my range and this morning, my weigh and measure day, my body fat % was down to 19.6% from 25 five weeks ago. I've wanted to be in the athletic range rather than average, and here I am! ;-)
I've lost a total of three inches, which doesn't show up too much in the photos I take, but I've started wearing a size 6 or small instead of an 8 and medium in a lot of new clothing. Hey! I'm 67. Eat your heart out. lol
Wow! You are amazing!0 -
I have been over weight since i had health issues when I turned 30 years old..............now i'm 45 and gained a lot of weight but only became active in MFP July 1st. I have been working out 2x a day doing Jane Fonda and i've lost a bit of weight but the most important is that i went down a size in clothing since my waist has shrunk yeah me!5
-
The waistbands of my underwear aren't tight anymore... Man, too-tight underwear is the worst. :grumble:4
-
went shopping for my hubby yesterday and decided to pick up a new pair of shorts for myself. grabbed my usual size and i was swimming in them! i am officially a size 14 (US). i havent been a 14 since high school so this is pretty damn exciting.3

Wow, you people, all your NSVs are pretty darn awesome, you should be extremely proud of yourselves!!
Here are my NSVs for this week:
1. I fit in my mom's old jeans once again (I mean, I could zip them even at my highest weight, but I had this horrible muffin top, no thank you). She was thinner when she wore them than I am now!
2. I was checking myself out in a bathroom mirror (I'm too vain for my own good, lol) and noticed that my hip bones are visible. I was soooo waiting for that to happen. My old underwear is starting to fit better, too. ^^3 -
I can eyeball proper portion sizes.
I have started to take what I think is correct, then weigh it to make sure. I want to teach myself what a proper plate looks like, since I won't bring my food scale everywhere I go.9 -
This afternoon at work I was talking to a coworker and absently leaned forward a little bit and scratch/rubbed the lower-middle part of my back and I was alarmed by some weird knobby things on my back, I was like, "WTF IS THAT!?!" but hiding my alarm from the coworker. When he walked away I realized those knobby things were my spine. Never felt that before LOL7
