I've been doing interval runs. When I started, I could barely jog for my "sprints" but tonight I reduced my recovery walking time from 2 min to 1 min, 15 sec. Also, during the spring intervals I'm really running. I started jogging (this time) about six weeks ago and the interval running three weeks ago. My overall average speed is still slow but I can tell my fitness is improving.24

Just ran 6.25 miles at 9:22-min/mile pace tonight.35

Today for the first time in forever I actually felt confident leaving the house in a pair of jeans. The weight that I gained happened so quickly and I felt that anything that wasn't yoga pants or leggings looked awful on me. After a few months in and so far 24lbs down I FINALLY felt good again in something other than stretchy pants!38

A sweater I made a year ago is loose around the stomach And last year it wasn't31

I ran 0.5 miles at 5.5 on the treadmill! I used to run, but after 2 kids and no exercise for 8 years, I can't run consistently anymore, have to stop for walk breaks. My goal is to work up to running 1 mile at 6.0.32

Have found so much motivation in this thread over the last year!
Today, for me, feeling healthy and grateful for all of the choices I have made this year that have brought me here.
TG 63, LDL 96
A1C 4.7
BP 110/70 and resting heart rate 50
Have increased my pace to a 7 minute mile.
Tons of energy every day & having fun pushing myself.
Not really sure what the scale is saying & not caring at all!22 -
Did a short road cycling race yesterday of 28km and got my average cadence up to 81.The best I every could manage. And that was mostly in full gears.17

NSV 1:Smashed out 10 assisted pushups. The time when you surprise yourself with how strong you are.
NSV 2:Went to the gym last night even though I was tired and had spent the afternoon eating a full Sunday roast. Didn't make it through my work out.
NSV 3: didn't let my failed workout upset me. In the past I would have felt pants, but I reminded myself that 10 minutes working out is still working towards my goals; and so what if I got defeated and had to lie on the gym floor. At least I now have a workout to push myself to achieve.
NSV 4: Did upper body PT session this morning; about to head out for a walk/run session as part of my 10k training.
Keep up the inspiring work people -NSV number 2 was mainly achieved through thinking about all of you guys who have had busier days, or have been tired and still smashed a workout out.21 -
I've been logging for 365 days today42

Was listening to music in the car yesterday when all of a sudden my abs tightened up. Took me a minute to realise it was a song that accompanies one of my dance fitness workouts & my body was responding to the moves(purposeful core tightening) even though I was sitting down!30

My fiance bought chocolates from sainsburys and opened them up whilst we were on the sofa, I joined him but felt sick after three and stopped eating them. I know it sounds silly but that was a huge moment for me as I used to mindlessly scoff the whole tub and not even notice38

We went to a Halloween party Saturday night and someone I've not seen in a year commented on my weight loss. And my costume (my husband and I went as War and Peace), was loose fitting and flowy so it made me look a touch bigger than I really am.19

Long time lurker first time poster. I figure if I put this out there that maybe it'll help me to be successful! I was gone most of the summer on fire assignments for work. Living on fast food and out of a hotel for 2 or 3 weeks at a time. Working 16 hr. days every day. I've lost so much ground over the past few months it's so frustrating. But the NSV is that I am frustrated and upset but I know I have the tools to fix it. I may have lost my drive for a few months but I'm ready to search for that motivation that I had before and get the weight off that I gained back. Today is day 1 of getting back on track with my food and back in the gym! I know I WILL be successful and I'm NOT giving up!53

Got knee-high boots this weekend. Finding them was not a struggle. No need for plus calf!28

Always hated my legs, especially calves. I've never been able to wear over the calf boots. Today, I went shopping, and I wondered if maybe the inches I've lost meant I'd gone down from a fourteen.
Only a picture can say this so I hope it works....

Went to the grocery store after work and was so hungry (classic mistake). Managed not to buy ALL THE THINGS. Came home and portioned out and logged a snack. Not so hangry anymore!25

Picked out a candy I don’t like to pass out to trick or treaters, so I’m not tempted by the remaining pieces.37

this is not-a-social victory as well as the regular kind. took me half the day to realise i was wandering around at work with my zipper undone because the work pants i was wearing were already so loose they weren't fitting me right. i thought the breezy sensation was just another part of the overall weird.33

Last night I was craving something sweet. I looked around in the pantry trying to see what I could eat with the remaining 123 calories I had left for the day. I REALLY wanted some chocolate candy. I ended up having a small mandarin orange for only 40 cals and it cured my sweet tooth and I still came in under my limit!30

Went for a Little run on the weekend with 13 friends from the community.
7 Peaks Challenge - Run, Walk, Crawl - Climb to the top of all 7 Peaks from the River Valley around our little community.
34 km and 1100m elevation - 4:33 running time, 5:30 total time from start to finish.
Those darn selfies take to much time.24 -

I just did my workout on my lunch hour, in the public park beside my office building, even with a gaggle of teenagers on their lunch break 50 feet away and strong winds blowing my mat away. That is persistence!35

I know I posted one already today but I have one more. I went to the gym and did the machines instead of the treadmill. I’ve been wanting to do this for the past couple of weeks but hadn’t worked up the nerve. I found a workout I liked on bodybuilding.com for women on a beginners level and did my thing and left. It felt great!! This is day one of a whole new approach to my exercise routine.
Bonus: I did more sets than what it said to do because I had the energy and knew I could.37 -
Mine was zip lining with my 71 year old mother to help cross it off her bucket list. At my highest weight I would have been almost 20 pounds over the limit!!55
