Tried on my prom dress from 21 yrs ago... it fit... I was tiny then. I still can’t see it in myself when I look in the mirror but what a shock to my system, the realization that I finally made it, may have cried, just a little!54

I tucked in my shirt by putting both hand and arms inside the waistband of my jeans, while they were buttoned and zipped up, and pulling the shirt down.
Back in September I could barley tuck in my shirt with just my fingers. The pants were tight.
I really need to buy at least 1 new pair of jeans.34 -
I have stuck to my healthy eating goals all week, despite having a cold. This is a typical time when I would pig out on junk and comfort food, but I have managed to resist!44

Same! I used to always fall off the wagon when I was ill, but this time was different. I keep reminding myself, if I don't change nothing else will change!24 -
I have work slacks in 3 consecutive sizes. At the beginning of summer, the largest size fit best and the middle size was feeling a bit tight. As of now, the small size fits best, and the middle size is starting to get really baggy.39

I was at an event for work yesterday with a catered lunch. I passed the bread basket and didn't feel sad to not take any. It didn't seem worth the calories to me. The main dish wand sides were great and fairly healthy. There was really good chocolate cake for dessert and I made a choice at the start of the meal that I'd take a few bites of it and be done. So that's what I did! I felt so in control!41

For my run/walk this morning I had a couple NSV's. I had no desire to go to the gym. That required putting on clothes and leaving my bed. But I did anyways. And during my last run, my legs were getting fatigued before my lungs did. Which is awesome. Usually they are threatening an asthma attack before I feel any bodily fatigue. Also made the full 5 minutes!37

I wanted to nope at the gym today, too. I was running late, crunched for time, and my mental game reference deadlifts is screwed up right now. So I did 40 minutes on the elliptical instead.32

I hiked 18 miles at the weekend, including two significant hills (well, OK, the same hill twice, in different directions).
This information is NOT going into my brain. It keeps glitching.
(I also then got up at 5.15am the next day to do a BodyPump class before work, but that was a BAD idea and I mention this only in the hope that others may learn from my folly. I have been dead all week.)31 -
I went for my "wog" when it was 32 degrees outside and the wind was 25 miles an hour. This Texas girl thinks its cold!

You are correct. That is cold anywhere!

For the first time in a very long while, I have to hunt for my double chin. I was taking a selfie today to show a long-distance friend that I was wearing the necklace she'd gotten for me from Hong Kong and I realized, hey wait... WAIT.
I swapped angles and looked up and down and side to side and did a YIPPPEEEEE leap for joy. I can still FIND it... but I have to really push for it. 95% of my selfies did not display my once ever-present double chin.
I have found my first stopping point along the dark road of exploration to a normal BMI.
I have not yet found my next dragonpants... but I think it might be because I have stopped to slay the dragonboots.
Knee high boots that used to squeeze me so much it was painful. I had to work and push my calves into them to get them on.
But... but... now... well now they zip up! There's no panicked moment of omgwillthesezipup nor is there a panicked thought of omgthesebootsaregoingtoamputatemylegomgthepainbutstubbornwilloverridespain.
I was so focused on dragonpants that dragonboots surprise attacked me, but I won this battle! AND hit my 90lb badge. (technically a scale victory, but... ehh. I STILL FEEL AWESOME).

tried on shorts today even though it is minus 5 here, they were baggy, tight last year29

This morning I wanted nothing more than a doughnut or some chocolate, and I told myself that I couldn't go get any candy if I still had snacks I'd brought from home. Ate my string cheese and apple instead, workday is almost over, craving defeated. Woohoo!39

I have to go buy some new work pants this weekend...the old ones look too ridiculous to keep wearing to work. i have just been tightening my belt...

My pj's are falling off me at the shoulders. I have been doing a lot of upper body exercise (aerobics, dancing) and it's all paying off!21

Lowered my treadmill 5k time to below 26 mins for the first time ever! I did it in 25:4234

A complete stranger told me that she loved watching me swim. 5 years ago, I wouldn't have considered swimming laps. I had just finished over an hour of swimming too35

I wore a medium top and size eight jeans to lunch with friends and then went to my usual volunteer gig. No buttons burst, nothing split, and no one stood up and dramatically announced,”YOU THERE! Look at you trying to fake it! Be gone with you!” For some reason I felt like I was holding my breath waiting for it to happen and was quite relieved it didn’t. (formerly XXL top and painfully tight 18’s). And I didn’t have a huge lunch. Although I wish I’d known that a “bao” meant the whole damn sandwich was deep fried. That was just kinda weird.29

I've been on holidays since Thursday and I bought a small scale and logged everything! I now have a box, with scales in it, labelled "travel scales" 😊
And I've stayed on or slightly under my net calories!33 -
I went to the gym yesterday and did a walk/run on the treadmill for about 20 minutes. After the workout, I realized that this was the first time my ankles didn’t ache when I ran! I felt so normal working out!40

Having moved long distance I am now meeting folk who only know me as I am & have no knowledge of my previous weight.
My new & lovely next door neighbor asked me if I'd like to go to a Boogie Bounce exercise class with her...
1) In my previous life, noone would have thought to ask me to something like that
2) Even if anyone did, I would never ever have had the confidence to go but I didn't hesitate to accept & am really looking forward to it!
This NSV is a pretty humbling one...a reminder of how many things I very likely missed out on...still, at least now I can join in with gusto!😊

My wife had a hair appointment this morning, so I went with her and spent the entire time walking the parking lot. 27 minutes with temps in the 30's F. Once upon a time, I would've been "it's too *kitten* cold to walk, I'll sit inside where it's warm". 🤣44

Went for an amazing run today . . . ran in two countries, three counties, across a bridge, over an estuary and alongside a motorway.
Sounds impressive? I only ran 5k in total but it was the BEST parkrun ever. Started in Wales, ran into England and then back into Wales. Accompanied by my lovely 6-year old and 15-year old. Who got up at 6am without moaning once about it. And ran in the most appalling weather imaginable - cold, wet, very windy, with the wind picking up more water from the estuary.
But it was totally amazing! Lovely team of volunteers, really encouraging runners, and a massive round of applause at the end. Well worth the early start, long drive and intolerable weather. Shame that the views were obscured by cloud and rain.
Then I got home and went out on the bike for an hour. After 3 miles, the rain started, so I nearly turned around but kept going. Then the rain really started, at the 4-mile point and by 6 miles I was almost soaked. But I kept going and finally reached home looking like I'd drowned rat. Again.
But that was okay. Because I'd enjoyed myself.
Who'd have thought that I'd enjoy exercising so much that I'd be happy to get soaked? Me, the kid who tried her best to hide during PE lessons?
Snow forecast later in the week.
It didn't stop me last time and won't stop me this time (although last time was accidental as it wasn't snowing at the bottom of the hill. The snow started as I was climbing the hill and had covered me by the time I reached the top. Got back to the bottom of the hill and there was no snow again - my family didn't believe me about it).47 -
Starting BMI was 45.1, currently it's 30.9! My wedding rings are too big, I had to buy a simple "Placeholder" ring so my hand wouldn't feel weird without a ring48

I can now do 50 squats at a time! I couldn't do any before.39

Reading these responses is very inspiring!
I recently hiked 10 miles in the mountains. Longest one day hike I've ever done!36 -
I lost weight for the first ten months through diet, but I still wasn’t getting very much exercise at all. I started with mini goals to exercise for just ten minutes a day five days a week. And now I’m exercising at least 30 minutes a day six times a week. I feel great!42

My clothes are looking better on me.😀36
