What's the best most memorable comment you ever got?

Somebody accidentally saw me naked and she was stunned and said I have the butt of a goddess. That was a memorable body complement. Other comments have been memorable and meaningful related to my dancing (including after my performance last night), and to my bravery, courage, strength, and compassion. For dance being told that I have both strong technique and emotional depth.0

The best compliment I ever got was a shrug, followed by, "I guess it was okay."0

"OMG are you that chick on BBT?"
haha - no but thank you because shes drop dead gorgeous!0 -
I once got told I had "really beautiful eyebrows," by some older dude at a pool hall.
It was, technically, a compliment. And, I will never forget it, because, well, that's just weird. That's Seventh Level Having-No-Game.0 -
A coworker I hadn't seen in a while did a double take and had a look of shock on their face when she saw me about a month or so ago.
That was awesome.0 -
"You're almost hot enough to fnck now!" ~Father in law0

A California Pizza Kitchen waitress told me several times, as she was seating me and my husband, that I looked like Princess Jasmine from the cartoon film. I'm not Middle Eastern and I wasn't wearing an outfit even remotely close to what the character wears, but it made me laugh because of how random it was.0

I was told that I am pleasant to look at, pretty clever and funny, and not a psycho. That last part made me tear up a bit.0

Truth. :flowerforyou: Really, more than pleasant, but for the sake of the post, I'll agree.0 -

You have to actually believe it for it to count .
I was told I was pretty and smart and funny and not completely bat**** crazy.0 -
I hadn't seen a friend for a while and lost 50 pounds. I finally asked him (since he wasn't saying anything about my weightloss) what he thought. He said I was always beautiful so it didn't matter to him. On one hand that is sweet but dang, I sure wanted him to think I looked better! So maybe that's it?0

My 20-something son commented on how he'd originally thought this weight loss/fitness thing was just mom's latest obsession, but he's been impressed that I've kept at it and he thinks my results are great. And then he looked me in the eye and said, "I'm proud of you, mom." :smooched:  :happy:0

Was driving with my youngest lad tonight (he is 15) and he says 'dad I'm very proud of you, my mates keep seeing you out walking and say how cool it is that you have lost so much weight' brought a tear to my eyes0

When I made the statement yesterday that I was not a model and didn't think I was, well I got a message said he thought I could be, and told today they like my sexy smile, and a sweet friend on here said I was awesome!!0

Mine requires a little context...
Cabbie: "You have children? What are their names?"
Me: "Noah and Joshua"
Cabbie: "Ah! So you're a rich American Christian, no?"
Me: "I'm not wealthy."
The cab ride was in the middle of a very Muslim country.0 -

Ha, some woman told my husband at the end of a flight "You are a beautiful man." Boy was he on cloud 9 for days!!!
I can't really think of anything memorable for myself right now...0 -

I look like Robyn Thick in my current DP. I do not see it though?
I think it's the haircut.0 -
When I was about 25 I was riding a stationary bike at the gym and reading a book and some guy came up to me and told me I was beautiful and then he sort of ran away. It took me a little while to process with my no makeup and messy hair. lol0

I guess it was a compliment ... sort of
when I was a skinny teenager with big boobs on work experience, I was walking to the factory (quickly because i was getting a little late) along the pavement, when this voice emerged from a white van that was driving past:
"do you some fries with that shake?"0 -
Let's see if I can type this one without tearing up...
The day one of my most favorite patients passed away, I got a call from his daughter. She was grieving over the loss of her dad, but she still took the time to call me and say, "he really appreciated all the care that you gave him. Thank you so much for all you did for him." Gives me chills & it's a conversation I'll always remember.

My coworker told me his wife saw me and said "Wow, she's built like a super hero". That was the best compliment, aside from my other coworker who likes to call me She-Ra.0

it's probably when I first moved to Saudi and some women told me they were really envious of my skin... this kind of surprised me because I have ultra mega-pale skin and was used to hearing negative things like "pasty" and jokes about being dazzled by the light reflecting off my legs and stuff (all in good British humour and not taken offensively) so it kind of surprised me to find these women with beautiful olive skin of a tone that British women risk skin cancer in their attempt to get it, wanting skin my colour.
It didn't escape my notice that instead of fake tan products being advertised and on sale everywhere, there were skin lightening creams instead.
These comments were memorable because:
1. they taught me that most women want what they don't have
2. the cosmetics industry exploits this to the max
and
3. love yourself for who you are because someone, somewhere is really badly wants what you think is a negative thing about your body0 -
Quote from a patient I was helping: "You have the most beautiful, bluest eyes I have ever seen... no really, they are like electric blue - mesmerizing..." :blushing:
Also from a patient: " You have 4 kids?! Wow, I would have guessed you were like 19!" (Awww - thanks, I'm 33!) :smooched:0 -
"You'd be hot if you were taller."0
