Take the Steelers... we have an amazing QB but still ended up at 8-8 because our line sucked. And the receivers didn't do as much as they could to help. And our D blew.. Oh wait... Damn.

The Steelers QB is far from amazing. He has the natural talent to be amazing, but I doubt that day will ever come. Too stubborn to truly buy into a short passing game. Does not have the arm or accuracy for the deep pass (underthrow much), and takes way too many sacks. I agree 100% that we need a better OL, but his sack total in inflated due to HIS style of play. At times exciting to watch, but laughable anytime someone tries to compare him among the elite QBs.

He is a future hall of famer.

I am going to bow out of this one. I should have never responded about it in the first place since it only served to hijack the thread.

I will end by saying I am far from alone in thinking Ben is overrated.

    We can agree to disagree.

Back to Johnny Football, does he start right away or does Hoyer get the nod in the short term?

Let's just look at some stats:

    Brandon Weeden- 22nd pick
    Brady Quinn- 22nd pick

And now Manziel with the 22nd pick.

Think 3rd time is a charm?

    Now hold on...

Johnny has a good arm. He also has a good eye and sees the plays develop. It will take 3 seasons, but the Browns are SB bound!

And most importantly, he does that really cute jump and fist pumpy thing after the plays that work..... x giggles and flips her hair x

Here will sit behind Hoyer for the first two games. If things go really bad (and they are against divisional foes) there will be a great clamor for him during the bye week and I would expect him to start after the bye week. That said I expect Hoyer to be fine and I would expect Manziel to sit most if not all of the season.

Yeah I think he'll carry the clipboard for a couple weeks until the fan base gets unruly enough watching Hoyer suck. Happens every time you draft a flashy rookie who is currently sitting behind a sub-par veteran who is struggling. Again I reiterate, he could be amazing if the Browns had an organization that set him up for success. But they don't; that's why they are the Browns! Who knows how many of their QB's could've been good if the organization was competent.

As a season ticket holder, this is exactly how I feel:

And now more bad news for the Browns: Josh Gordon MAY get a year's suspension for another failed drug test.

Not sure whether you are happy or upset with the draft, but you look quite a bit younger than me. Some of us have been suffering since the late 60s with the Browns. I had an Uncle (who was there in the 50s & early 60s) who was a diehard fan, We kept the faith hoping for a Super Bowl. He dead a couple of years ago not getting to see it. I'm in my 50s and still have hope I will live to see it.
