Couldn't agree more. Sitting around eating nuts all day is going to kill your calorie intake haha. I guess spreadable pb or another nut is more satisfying than popping a few nuts in your mouth.0 -
For me though, the fat & calorie content is too high to justify the health benefits. With only 7g of protein, PB&J doesn't compare to a tuna or deli sandwich.
that is the exact reason why I dont want to add it on my daily menu if there is no real value to it.0 -
Yes, but with tuna there is the whole worry about getting too much mercury and deli meats, unless you buy all-natural, with no nitrates and other junk in it, is just so unhealthy..PB tastes great and definitely sticks to your ribs..both very important when eating clean..and if it helps with weight loss, even better! I have PB every day, but make sure that I measure out a level tablespoon since it is so high in fat (good kind) and calories..I usually eat in the am before workout (like right now), but may switch it to my evening snack and see what happens!0
