    Raw, they tasted cauliflower-like

    Tossed with olive oil, salt, pepper, roasted and served with ketchup, they were sublime. The roasting brought out a sweet nuttiness that was straight up addictive. My four year old loved them

    Hint- peel with a paring knife rather than a veggie peeler. The skin is thick and hard.

    The greens are nothing to write home about - kale like.
